Anyone see this quick tidbit dig to BB by Boomer?

When the Colts game was over and Tasker went to interview the losing Head Coach Rex Ryan immediately after the interview with Ryan was over, they then went to the CBS Studios to which Boomer immediately started saying "at least Ryan was decent enough to talk to the media after getting beat by the comeback Colts, something that Belichick refused to do a few years ago" he said.

While Boomer has been a pretty good analyst and seems at time to be on the side of the Patriots,it was a surprise to hear him bash BB from the 2006 aftermath when BB blew Wilcots off after the Colts overcame that 18 point deficit in the AFCCG.

Apparently this is still in the minds of guys like Boomer..3 years later

If there was anything I was not expecting it was a reference to Belichick in a game he was not even involved in.

In a second consecutive year of surprising dissapointment for the team and another fallen superstar to a serious injury, they still just can't leave him alone I guess.

Its not earth-shattering news but nevertheless BB's refusal to satisfy the mediots apparently never gets too old, even years later.

It's Boomer's own stupidity that he doesn't realize that Wilcots question was a total insult to the Colts, and that Belichick refused to play that game, so he gave a standard answer about the Colts deserving it.

Wilcots lead in by saying that because the Patriots were reported to have come down with a team flu, and with the high heat in the Dome, does that explain why they wilted in the second half against the Colts?

What the hell does Boomer want Belichick to say after a question like that?

Well lets just protest CBS.

I remember Boomer making a scene when the camera came back to the studio after the BB interview. He had a "What was that?" pose. I remember BB not biting on Wilcot's questions - saying that the Colts made more plays ans both teams left everything on the field. Wilcots asked about injuries and illness, BB repeated his answer. I thought the answers gave Indy credit.

I too find it odd that Boomer seems bothered by it to this day.

Lord Favrequad blew off FOX's postgame interview... I wonder if Boomer has anything to say about that.

Is this the same Boomer Esiason that supposedly thinks he should be in the HOF?

Definitely a dig, but we'll probably never know if it was Esiason or his producer or director's idea. I'm starting to think it comes from the production room because it seem like Boomer will make digs at Belichick one week, a couple weeks later have his back when nobody else does - and then flip flop back the other way soon after that.

It's surprising that Boomer is still peeved about that interview after all these years, especially since the interviewer himself, Wilcots, later said on Sirius NFL Radio that he and BB have no ill-feelings towards each other, and in fact BB has appeared on Wilcots' show a few times since then.

Ummm.....there are times during conversations that the public doesn't see i.e. while the game is going on....where talent and the production people will talk. Or, it could have been someone on set who made the comment off air and Boomer's the one who brought it on air.

Here's what I remember about that 06 interview:

1) CBS wasn't ready to record to tape. People seem to forget about that! Solomon had BB ready to go. Said to the truck, i have bill are we ready. Nothing. 10-seconds passes....still nothing. 20-seconds....still nothing.

Now, 20-seconds to most people is nothing. You can usually BS while you wait. What the hell are you gonna BS with him (BB) about to kill time???? where he's going on vacation? the freakin weather? CBS wasn't ready to record - THAT's THEIR fault.

2) They finally got everything squared away and DID conduct and interview. Solomon just asked questions that easily led BB to give short-curt answers!

I know it's on youtube some place.

So Boomer.....suck on a C*%^ that BB blew off CBS. He freakin likes you guys as a network and your production people weren't ready. that's your fault.

Boomer is a loser and a Jets homer. He lives in NY and does a radio show in NY and feeds the people what they want to hear. I think he's a moron who is not objective enough to sound intelligent as an analyst. My favorite person on CBS is by far Phil Simms. I love his commentary. Nantz and him are a good pair. In the studio, I like Marino and Sharpe.

Maybe I have selective memory but it sure seems like a lot of media members take shots at the Pats when it does not even seem sensible to do so.

Further proof the mediots think it's all about them. No one cares Boomy!!!

Well, BB does tend to bring some of it on himself. Personally, I like that our coach doesnt do the song, and dance routine for those twits.

Bill hates to lose - He's a sore loser. I'm totally and 100% fine with that.

The media however, they don't like it so much. Too bad. He ain't changing.

Yes, I saw that and it really ticked me off. How many years ago was this?! They always like to kick a winner when they are down. I try not to let the media get to me but why do the Patriots always have to be mentioned in a negative way. Each coach has their own style and the media should be able to respect that. Bill has his own style and is not willing to please everyone. Hopefully next year will be better for us!!! Go Saints!!!!!

By and large national mediots and those who aspire to be pander. They're never held accountable for their so-called insight. They are generally wrong more often than right as a result. They don't have to back it up. They just have to maintain ratings or their own panel or outlet standing or value. Boomer picked the JETS. He has a radio show in NY. He's been down on us since it became fashionable to be. He used to be the pro Patriots toady on any panel. He's pissed at Bill for making him look bad on that score of late. So recently he decided the JETS were the 2001 Patriots. Which would be merely comical if not for the dissimilarities that make the comparison ludicrous. Rex and Sanchise were alternately deified and crucified by the same media repeatedly throughout the course of the season. Rex was a genius, a loveable buffoon, a virtual moron, the messiah... Sanchise was an overhyped kid, the second coming of Joe Willie, a scatterbrain who should be benched, a lock to reach the next level...

Bill and Tom confounded the pundits on their way to 4 superbowls. On some level the pundits will never forgive them for that...

Boomer is a clear LIAR !!!

Super Bowls won by Bill Belichick = 5
Super Bowls won by Boomer Esiason = 0

I suppose Bill could have been classy and did the interview and then just refused to go to the Pro Bowl because he was so depressed like Boomer did after Super Bowl XXIII.
