They hung with a damn good team for a half. Having watched us against Baltimore, you think he's going to be dejected?

I'd consider it a pretty damned fine run, if I was him.

I imagine his team can't wait to start next year. Can't say honestly, that I feel that way.

I'm sure he's elated.. only two more weeks until the Super Bowl parade in New York.

Oh wait.

FAIL.

Re: Rex Ryan post-game presser

It appears that a drunk Joe Namath was driving the parade float.

Re: Rex Ryan post-game presser

I don't think he needs to, or will eat anything. He pretty much backed up his mouth, sure they lost tonight but nobody expected them to get to the AFCCG in the first place.

The Jets and Ryan have just made the league and the Patriots take notice. If they get things right, start drafting well then the Jets are going to be a force in the coming seasons.

Give me a break, man. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Like it or not, a good Jets team with a VERY good defense lost in the AFC Championship game. Last time I checked, our own team did not make it out of the first round of the playoffs against Baltimore. Got to give credit due where credit is due - and the fact that the "lowly" Jets hung around with one of the best teams in football for most of the game (in their house, might I add) is something for that franchise to be proud of. If I were you, I'd be more concerned about OUR team losing than the Jets losing to the Colts. They are the real deal.

Wrong. They were actually winning for most of the half - then completely lost their mojo with 5 minutes left in the 2nd qtr. The tackling went bad. Green was lost and the secondary got stupid. Screw both the Jets and Colts. I'm a temporary Saints fan.

Re: Rex Ryan post-game presser

Jets got their comeuppance for their arrogance. Now hopefully the Saints/Vikings can do the same to the Colts in the SB.

You are right. I hope BB was paying attention to the kind of offense he
will have to have to beat the Jets. If he maintains the 2 WR mentality
Patriots will lose 2 games to the Jets next year. He better get some
good WRs and force Brady into spreading the ball around like he used to.

Re: Rex Ryan post-game presser

What are you people talking about? A first year coach taking a first year QB to the AFCCG?? That's something to be proud of, not ashamed of.

This applies here perfectly..."Talk all the Sh*t you want now!". Im not gonna feel sorry for that fat F*ck and his ****y team. See ya next year, we do need to get our sh*t together though.

My gosh, sorry, they went sour AFTER the first half -- I guess that changes my argument completely...Screw both the Jets and the Colts? Hey, be as bitter as you want, but they played today, the Patriots didn't. I'd be more upset about that. But whatever makes you sleep at night, man.

Damn straight, Tubby's got that team fired up and they play tough, patient football.

There's a saying that if you're not moving forward, you're falling behind and I'd like to see a real evaluation of every coach, position and strategy for next year. Real competition for spots too, especially special teams.

Our record is deceiving IMO. There's a bit of the end of Pete Carroll in the players attitudes and performance. Just a bit, but that can grow like a cancer.

Re: Rex Ryan post-game presser

The jets showed a lot of guts and look to be a tough out in the future. Helluva job today. But that post-game presser, while understandable, veered occasionally toward trainwreck as Wrecks *****ed about calls and whined about injuries. A big, fat message board poster to the end.

That's the most disturbing thought I've read here. Far more than any WR/DL/OC or DC discussion.

Not disturbing if the coach feels it, and i think he does. Successful teams need a shake up once in a while. That's why teams with the same personnel perform so differently, especially when it counts.

The core of our team is fine and the new talent on defense is good. There's some complacency and some mailing it in and some refusal to realize when something isn't working.

Just the way i see it.

Frankly, it's hard not to like Rex Ryan. If he was our coach he'd be a God. We've had a genius but he sure isn't lovable.

Congratulations to an up and coming Jets team. Sanchez looks like the real deal. Played his best game of the season on the biggest stage. I look forward to the competition in the AFC East for years to come.

Time to draft some impact players.

This is why I hated this AFC championship. The Jets could have lost by 60 today and you still can't really laugh at them since they made it this far with a first year HC and QB. And at the same time the Colts are going to the Super bowl. Screw you San Diego and Baltimore
