This thread will give people nightmares.

Re: Report: Tubby Wrecks eats 7,000 calories a day

Why is this even here?

Do you guys really care how much calories he eats a day?

Make fun of the guy all you want but he IS a good coach and his team is currently ONE game away from the super bowl.

1. Because the fallout and commentary is funny as hell,
2. It'll get moved when a MOD feels like it.
3. How can you NOT laugh at the picture? Post of the year contender.

Nobody has said he isn't a good coach and yes the Jets DO have a 1 in 4 chance of winning the Superbowl. Lighten up a little.

Well I suppose he has to keep up his shape :)

Rumor has it that Tubby Wrecks was scheduled to guest host an episode of "Man vs. Food" on the Travel Channel (Man v. Food - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). The idea was nixed because it promised no suspense.

Really? My apologies for being gullible. I like that show.

Bizarre Foods is another one thats decent. Of course a bizarre food to Chubby Rex is a celery stick or a bowl of Total.

His favorite drink is a tall glass of beef gravy. In the summer he prefers it chilled.

Applebees, 1 order boneless Buffalo wings, 1,724 calories

That's not counting the blue cheese. Add another 200 calories.

So, three orders of Applebees wings a day gets you to 6,000.

Two cokes and an ice cream later, and you're at 7,000.

In honor of this masterful piece of art, should we re-name him Jabba Wrecks? Or, Wrecks The Hut? (We all know that "hut" is a common football term, it does seem to fit.)

I know what the article says, but that can't be right. Slim was heavy when he died, but for a sedentary individual that would equate to about 30 pounds of body fat added every single day (barring bulimia or a metabolism 30 times that of your average human being). That means it would take him all of 3 days of eating to reach Wrecks size. The King was supposedly 235 - 250 (at 6 feet tall) at death, 80 pounds heavier than he was in his prime.

And a minor league baseball team served a 4800 calorie burger. Wrecks could crush at most two of those in one sitting, and he's a professional. A foot long sub with 42,000 calories? That would seem to be a stretch.

wasnt that article a joke?

Question: When the camera pans to Rex, do you think what a great football coach he is (I believe he is) or I can't believe he is that overweight (or something along that line). I believe most people are pretty much horrified in regard to his build, unless of course they are overweight, and maybe they feel pretty good about themselves.
Even Charlie Weis saw the light, unfortunately it still didn't work out for him.
The guy is obese. When he dies young, then you can say he was a good football coach.

Re: Report: Tubby Wrecks eats 7,000 calories a day

Im not buying this one.

Do you realize how much a person would have to eat to hit 7,000 calories?

I was/am into bodybuilding, and it is a struggle to take down 4-5 thousand calories eating 7 (solid food) meals a day!!

that said... it's still pretty funny so i say we roll with it!! :D

Being into fitness my self, I think we both know that its hard to eat alot of GOOD calories...I dont think he is counting the calories of lettus or lean protien. Think about it, one fish fry has about 1290 calories in it with no sides, add the fries, and the tartar sause and you are ****ing over 2000 calories probably in one sitting. Breakfast for him I'm sure is filled with entire eggs (with yolk) bacon, sausage and a carb or two. Add lunch in and and snacks, which are probably donuts and such and he could easily get to 7000 calories a day. Im not saying this to make fun of him, its a serious problem and I hope he has a loved one that can tell him about this and help him.

I was saving that picture for the appropriate thread, figured everyone would enjoy it!

All kidding aside I really feel bad for the guy. The human body can't handle that type of intake long-term. Hes a heart attack, stroke or diabetes wating to happen.
