At #22 he has the Pats taking ... Tim Tebow, QB, Florida.

"Surprised? Crazier things have happened on Draft Day and I really believe someone will select Florida’s Tim Tebow much earlier than they should. Remember, it only takes one team. It’s no secret that Bill Belichick is a big fan of the Florida program, plus he has been searching for the right guy to implement the Wild Cat into New England’s offense. That is why they showed a lot of interest in Pat White last year and one of the main reasons they selected Juliun Edelman, who was an athletic college quarterback. Plus the Pats have four picks in the first couple of rounds so they can afford to play around a bit. Tebow is going to be one of the most controversial prospects the NFL Draft has ever seen. An amazing leader with out of this world intangibles, Tebow will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest college football players of all time but there are some serious questions about him as a pro prospect. Some feel Tebow profiles as more of a tight end or fullback at the next level but he wants to play quarterback and will likely be given that opportunity. After spending four years in Urban Meyer’s system Tebow will essentially have to be reworked from the ground up. Whether it be his throwing motion, footwork, taking snaps from under center, reading coverages or going through progressions there is just a laundry list of things he will have to work on. The bottom line is Tebow’s probably 2-3 years away from being able to run an NFL offense but he has the talent and work ethic to eventually do it and you know he will charm the pants off of decision makers and coaches in pre-draft interviews. While he is being groomed as Tom Brady’s backup and eventual successor the Patriots, who place a high value on versatility, could utilize Tebow in the Wildcat, as a short-yardage runner and an H-Back."

The most interesting thing is that Wright has Rolando McClain going #15 to the Giants. No way he falls that far, but if he did slip a bit I would hope we would trade up for him.

That is one awefull pick. He graded Tebow as a second or third round choice in his scouting report. This pick not only doesn't makes much sense if you consider the Patriot's needs, it is also a huge reach.

It's a good site for information. I take their mocks with a large grain of salt, but they aren't always this bad. They had us taking Darius Butler at 23 last year in their final mock, and they had us taking Brandon Meriweather in 2007. But this mock is absurd.

We already have a pretty good Wildcat candidate on our team in Julian Edelman if we really wanted to run a few gimmick plays a game.

Yeah let's get Tebow, then get to wait "2-3 years" while he's "rebuilt from the ground up" just so he can run a handful of offensive plays out of a single formation... no no no it's not an entire offense, just 1 formation.

Also, you can definitely tell how serious the Patriots were about getting Edelmen into the wildcat since they let him take exactly 0 snaps from center this season. Yeah, the wildcat's exactly what will get the Patriots deep into the 2010 playoffs.

I just wish that God would give Tebow another season at UF so we could watch him there again, and then the Patriots could use the Raiders' 2011 draft pick to get Tim #1 overall, where he deserves to be taken.

While I can not see BB drafting Tebow, because Tebow fails the three down test, I do actually like the thought of Tebow coming to Foxboro.

Depending on what happens with Wilfork, I would not mind seeing BB take Tebow in the first.

I hear the word "Leader" and I cringe a bit. I think this whole concept of leadership is vastly over rated.

Having spent 5 years on a college football team, the guys in the locker room that I respected and feared, especially as a younger player were the "enforcer" types. These are the guys that hold all the other guys accountable; whether it is in games, on the practice field; in meetings or even in film study.

These enforcer types get in your face and get vocal and/or physical with you. They are very forceful; but mostly I think they are the glue that keeps 76 plus different personalities all fairly focused on the task at hand. (FYI the reason it is not 80 is because nobody reaally cares what the kickers are doing.)

A "leader on the field" like Brady is a great example. A leader in the locker room like Faulk or Sanders or Mayo is nice as well. But an enforcer like Bryan Cox, Willie McGinest, Lawyer Milloy or Mike Vrabel gets the attention of other players and that is what I think our 2009 team lacked.
