This site had some interesting tidbits last year, especially when it came to reports on Patriot contacts. I think GBN was providing the occasional translated note, but I'm hoping you might be able to offer up a more Patriots-focused review as time permits.

Hi BOR,

Not sure who you are directing this post to... there are at least 3 of us (that I know of) who live in DK and have user accounts here on Patsfans. I probably post the most of us 3 , and that is only on average 2x a month or so. (BTW - 2 of us are Yanks, the 3rd is a female Dane).

I had never even known of this site until you brought it up on this thread. But I have bookmarked it and will look at it to see if anything Pats related comes up. Denmark has had an explosion of NFL interest within the last 10 years. I think it really started to grow due to Morten Andersen appearance in the SB when he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Soon thereafter here they started showing 1 Sunday game live each week on a small cable channel and now they are showing both the 1.00 and 4.00 games live on a main channel (with Danish announcers).

Well enough boring history on football in Denmark. Don't know who this was for but thanks for the 'heads up' and I will peruse the site once in a while to see if anything of interest for PatsFans. :)

P.S: On a side tangent - read a post recently about Razor tix prices are 2nd highest in NFL. I was at the London game this year and paid approx $110 bucks for a lower end zone seat. What would be the cost for the same seat at the Razor?

I can't answer the stadium price question, but I was thinking of you when I posted this link - I have enough trouble keeping track of my cat so tracking our friends in/from Denmark is only a hobby. ;)

OK, thanks for thinking of me. I will check into the site and relay anything of interest re: all things Pats.
I will be the official PatsFans "foreign intelligence operative". But I warn you - I can easily be swayed to double cross by a nice leggy female and a case of single malt scotch.

By the way, I see your J-E-T-S banner below - which is funny. But actually - there are some good reasons for Jets haters to ROOT for Jets this weekend. See my latest post (1 hour ago) on thread: "Good things that happen if Jets beat the Colts" - in the main forum. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...38-good-things-happen-if-jets-beat-colts.html

I think you might get a laugh. ;)

I'm already holding my sides from laughing at Indy, I could wind up in the hospital if Sanchize keeps the ball in the hands of his own team.

going to bed soon - but my first 5 minute look at the danish NFL site :: Draftday.dk - Football For Folket! ::
gives the following:

27. New England Patriots - OG Mike Iupati, Idaho
Neal er ofte skadet, Mankins er free agent, Iupati er valget.

This is from their first mock draft dated in Dec when we were still at spot 27#. The translation from danish reads: "Neal is often injured, Mankins is a free agent, so Iupati is the choise."

But there is alot of other content there besides the draft. It looks at first glance as a pretty comprehensive site (as far as Danish sites on NFL are - not too many). I will have to find out who are the writers / editors. As you well know - there is alot of crapola out on the 'Net depending upon who is writing it.

Cheers and beers from Denmark. Land of 68% top tax bracket.

I can't speak to their prognostication or knowledge of the game, but whichever U.S. site was linking to them with translation help last year had them reporting better than anyone not living on a Patriots draft forum on whom the Pats were working our and interviewing before the draft.

Interesting - I was not aware of that. I will look out for it.

I wonder if that situation could not be about our local reporters respecting Belickicks wishes to keep things 'tight lipped'. So they keep in good graces with the Pats. Whereas a foreign reporter or someone not trying to kiss up to Pats staff - they just report it as is. Kind of like the rules of contuct are in reporting TC practices? So maybe it is a situation of local reporters self-censorship.

I will keep my eye on it. Don't most of these visits occur after the combine?

There should be reports coming out starting this week where NE Scouts are interviewing prospects at the All-Star games. NE will talk to most of the 300+ prospects who will be invited to the Combine and All-Star games, but they will probably double that with Pro-Days. This forum does as good a job as anyone to track contacts and try to flag the multiple contact kids - last year the Denmark folks made a significant contribution to that effort, I just was unable to read the material for myself and folks like GBN (whom I think was were I found out about them) use only snippets of all they collect, so anything you have time to dig up should be very interesting reading for us.

Tickets in the lower corner or endzone were $117 this year. Do you plan on coming to a game at Gillette? You could join us at the the Razor's Edge Tailgate! Contact me if you are coming and I'll get you the information.

Would love to discuss Denmark with you! Send me a Private E-mail and we can take it off thread.

Very kind of you - and thanks for the ticket info. It was just about the same amount to what I paid at London Wembley. Thanks for the invite. I have not been back to the area for many years (I lived in South Shore for 10 years but my family moved away when I was a kid in '72). Still it was enough even at that young age to fall in a mancrush with Jim Plunkett, Sam Bam Cunningham - and those great players in the mid 70's. And I have been follwing them ever since. I was estatic when they drafted Drew B. as we both went to Wash State U (although he was many years after me). I attended WSU while the great Mark Rypian was our QB (Washington Redskins). He use to fumble alot in college - and guess what - he still fumbled alot in the pros.

I have had the pleasure of seeing several NFL games live in DC, Denver, Atlanta but NEVER for my favorite team at the Razor. But it was great to see them in London this past year. But sometime in my life I will endevour to get to a Pats game in Foxbourough - that would be a personal highlight for me. Would be great when my 6 year old is abit older and take him over there as well. Then he can see why his crazy dad is always yelling at the TV on Sunday nights at 07.00 pm (6 hour time difference here). Well enough about my bio and connection with the Pats.

I am happy to discuss all things Denmark - have been here 11 years now - but just so you know I am not an actual dane (but married to one). I have also lived in Switzerland for a few years but the Swiss are not into American Football at all. Some of the Germans are the northern parts of Deutschland. I don't understand why the NFL doesn't alternate a game each year between London and Berlin as there were several thousand Germans in London. It would keep their connection from the old NFL Europa days.

I will try to figure out how to look up your email address from your profile ? But if I don't succeed . I am pretty sure my email is attached to mine so just drop me a line.

But I must get back to work. BOR has nominated me to be the translator for a Danish football website for juicy foreign tidbits on Pats draft prospects. But instead of translator, I prefer the title of "Foreign intelligence operative" . It seems like there is a Danish mole within the organization. so I need to translate, extrapolate and then interrogate whomever I uncover. I sure hope she is female!

Cheers and beers (Carlsberg here - not so crazy about Tuborg). :)

"Foreign intelligence operative" . If it's anything like my exposure to intelligence you'll just be emptying trash cans and trying to separate the banana peel from the carbon paper. :yeeha:

No disrespect, but I don't generally associate the term "exposure to intelligence" with you. :D

I'd be shocked if you did, after all you only know me from here and the fellow posters I am exposed to. :p
