Would we bring him back for special teams or do you acualy rate him as an OLB...

wow...you're generous

I can't think of a 3-4 team out there that would want him
I'm a glass kinda full type of guy. Surely the Chiefs or Broncos would have a crack. Surely. They have too. They have to I tells ya!

See ya....

Thanks for holding on to that history-changing fumble.............

Bye-Bye...............

He's pretty decent in Madden 2010.

NYG will take him. They owe him one.

I can't believe I even clicked on this one.....geez

does anyone really care?

Well, he deserves the blame, but I blame the referees more. A guy is on the ground and has secured the fumble, well then he's down as soon as he's touched. Instead, the refs let the defenders pounce on him.

Ultimately, I think Belichick is to blame for not throwing a challenge flag.

Woods was totally untouched on the ground, not engaged by any defender.

Is there an irrelevant forum?

Woods is a solid backup linebacker. He's also one of our best special teams players. Not sure where this idea that "he sucks" and is the cause of all our woes on defense came from. Apparently you have to start and earn a Pro Bowl berth every year in order to be "good" in the eyes of fans.

He will be in denver next year for sure if pees ends up there.Play him in early downs to make dummerville even more effective in 3rd downs.

I guess that depth no longer matters:)

Of course everyone wants depth on thier favorite team...Quality depth is another thing that is hard to come by...Is Woods really quality depth as a LB or is he just a STs player that holds a roster spot because he can do more than one thing?

I compare Pierre Woods contributions to the team as similar to Kelly Washington from a few years ago,Pretty good as a STer but not much else to offer.

The arguments come down to this,If you think he is worth keeping on as a 4th or 5th depth LB then he is worth it,If not he isn't .....simple

Neither does special teams apparently.

Look, Woods shouldn't be a starter, but he was a cheap, undrafted (or 7th round? Can't recall...) who turned into a 4th/5th OLB and a solid special teamer. But clearly, because he isn't a starter, he is not worth retaining.

Can't see them non-tendering him and I can't imagine another team tendering him a RFA offer, so looks as if Woods will at least enter training camp on the team.

Don't understand the rush to get rid of him, he was one if the best (if not the very best) defensive players on the kick coverage units. Last I checked, special teams was a big part of the game, and one which Belichick has usually emphasized. BB has never shied away from keeping 3-5 guys who are nearly exclusively special teamers, and Woods is great in that role. As a LB he is an adequate but upgradeable backup who doesn't have any real upside or strength.

FWIW, I'd much rather have Woods than Alexander as a special teams LB.

I expect that we will tender him at $1.684M and no one will give us a 2nd as compensation for him. He is one of our top STers and an OK backup outside linebacker.
