What this thread means is of the Jets,Saints,Colts & Vikings which one player from all those teams do you think has earned enough time in the NFL to win and deserve their FIRST ring before thier career is officially over?

It doesn't mean that you have to root for the whole team but just a certain player who deserves a ring after quite a few years in the in the NFL

I am rooting for Pat Williams who has been a quiet but dominating DE on the Vikings and is nearing retirement,This guy is simply a great player who works hard in the trenches and finally got to the playoffs again for the first time in 10 years.....Pat Williams deserves a ring NOW.

Matt Stover

Nice try Colts fan but I believe Mr. Stover has a ring from the Ravens 2000 SB victory.

Brett Favre

That is correct...On the other hand,is there a veteran on the whole Colts team who didn't win a championship with them in 2006?

Mark Brunelle. 17 years and counting.

Heath Evans?

Dare anyone to say Kris Jenkins :)

Good question.

SAINTS:

Deuce McAllister
Drew Brees
Mark Brunell
Darren Sharper
Reggie Bush (loljk)

VIKINGS:

Pat Williams
Steve Hutchinson

JETS:

Tony Richardson

COLTS:

Can't really think of any

I'm am going with Darren Sharper. He does have a Super Bowl ring from the Packers, but he was a back up player who never got on the field that season. So he is technically disqualified from the discussion, but he was he did not really do a whole lot to get his ring. This time around it would be a major contributor.

Besides, I want the Saints to win. I guess I could go with Mark Brunell if I want to stick with the Saints and follow the letter of the rule. But will Brunell really earn this Super Bowl.

If just rooted for the player and not the team, I would say Pat Williams or Antoine Winfield.

Darren Sharper for the Saints.

If you want a guy from the Saints Duece McAllister is short of god to those in the Bayou

IMO The ONLY reason they brought McAllister back was not to fill Pierre Thomas spot but for him to win a ring in which they have a great shot to do...McAllister is a wonderful player who is like Tedy Bruschi was here, only Deuce is on offense.

Sharper certainly will have his sights set on picking off a few of his old teams throws..I expect Favre to throw a pick or two and Darren could very well have one of them. - Sharper did win a ring,so does not count

If the Patriots won this SB,would Junior Seau have earned a ring by playing very lightly?...No is the answer, same for Brunell but both worthy of some jewelry nonetheless.
