your thoughts...could they pull off the same magic the Giants did? they certainly have a similar style (great defense, solid run game). they look like a team that could do it, and if they can get by the Colts they will have the look of a team of destiny...

with that said, I hope that either AFC team gets blown out in the Super bowl :D

At this point it doesn't matter who makes it as the AFC team, as long as they get beat by the Saints, I would even take Favre winning over the Colts or Jest winning it all. My Jest co-worker called me after the game last night drunk out of his mind gloating about the Jest win. I'd love for him to experience that feeling of losing a SuperBowl.

I wonder how your friend is feeling NOW?

Heheheh

The Jets seem to be the REAL DEAL. I'm not sure how we beat them again?

I remember posts about this and people being ridiculed, "Sanchez is terrible", well, Sanchez hasn't looked that bad in his game management mode.

I hope they beat the Colts and then lose to New Orleans. That would be fair.

I don't want to chance the Colts going to the SuperBowl, but obviously they could.

I don't think the Jets will be too bummed out with a loss at this point, somewhat sure, but they're playing with the house's money, so to speak. Playing with our money, in effect.

Probably sobering up to the fact he'll won't be facing Curtis Painter on sunday...:)

Sanchez doesnt look terrible, HE IS TERRIBLE.

I wait a blowout in Indianapolis. When the Colts put a 7+ lead, how the hell can the Jets comeback?

0% of Jets winning in Indianapols

Thats what Im afraid of, the past 5 years have been kick in the balls after kick in the balls, This year either Manning or the Jets will be in the superbowl, last year Brady gets hurt, the year before that we fall a game (a miracle) away from being the best team of all time but we didnt even win the superbowl. The year before that we choke in the AFC Championship game to Manning and the Colts who go on to win the Superbowl. The year before that we get bounced in round one.

This is probably the worst AFC Championship game for a Pats fan to watch since the Jets and Phins went at it back in the early 80s..

You may be right, on the other hand, many said they had no chance in san diego.

I hope they win though, as I prefer them over the Colts.

jets' formula for victory -

1. D played well as usual.

2. No big mistakes by rookie QB.

3. Crazy bounce interception - 3 bounces off the butt of Jackson

4. Opponent's all-pro placekicker takes the pipe going 0-3 including stubbing his toe on two chippies.

Same plan should work fine next weekend against the Colts.

Unless the Saints coaches are forced to spend all day Saturday answering depositions about John Tomase's bogus claims, the Saints will have their minds and focus totally on the Super bowl the day before the big game. That in itself will put them over the top.

If the Jets and the Vikings are in the SB, I may fast-forward through the game and just watch the commercials.

Oh god the ball washing that would come for the gunslinger and the rookie.

Please let The Who be the highlight of that SB!!

Atleast the giants had an offense.
This jets can't compete when the other team put up points.
That D isn't going to shut down everybody especially with manning and potentially Brees coming up.

The Jets are winning. That's all that matters. I believe the 2007 Giants are a better team than the 2009 Jets, but the comparison is a reasonable one.
