Is his contact up or does he have another year left. I would like to resign him if possible.

After today's game you know the Cowboys will be looking for a Kicker.
If we was to leave to we get a Comp pick?
thanks

He is extremely unclutch. How many times when the pats have been losing and need points does he miss a fg. How many times wheb the pats were starting to let games slip did he push the momentum the other way with misses. Hes a soft player. Would take him back but not overpay.

PatsCap.com is a good resource. ;)

He is an RFA if we stay uncapped; capped if a new CBA is reached.

As pats1 noted, pending a new deal, Gostkowski is a RFA, so he should be tendered such that any team signing him away would have to cough up at least a first-round draft pick.

I presume the Cowboys, Colts, Chargers, and Broncos wouldn't be willing to do that, but you never know.

Seeing Kaeding I think he is not as chuker as I throught

Agreed. He is exactly the opposite kind of player than Vinatieri .

I would not resign Gostkowsky for the $ he wants

I am in the middle on him.I'll leave it up to BB and co.

Gostkowski's almost never had to kick a game-winner, but when he has, he's done it. Gostkowski's misses, in any case, have only been a determining factor in ONE game in four years. Kaeding's screwed up two playoff games in the same time span.

And yes, Vinatieri was clutch, but the clutchness hid the fact that he wasn't as good a kicker most of the time. He wouldn't have had to kick the game winner in SB38 if he hadn't missed one and had another blocked earlier in the game.

He's one of the better kickers in the league. If we don't tie him down someone else will, especially with the kicker merry-go-round we have lately.

For the most part he's been a solid kicker. I'd bring him back for sure.

He must have a good 40 time.... 4 million a year for a kicker?

Just looking at him, I do not think that's the case.

I would love to see Ghost locked down for the long term.

I say tender him at the 2nd round level and hope someone will sign him and give up the pick.

That has about the same likelihood as me banging Carrie Underwood tonight.

And once you've created yet another hole in the lineup, how do you intend to fix that?

Unbelievable. Wow.....a $4m a year deal for PK.

After hearing about this, Gost's agent just put an offer on a 5k sq ft pad in Bel Air, CA

Well, Fatkowski is the Raiders offense, so senile Al figured what better way keep your best offensive threat. Next, the Punter will get $4mill since that would be their best defensive player given the # punts inside 20

Clearly Al Davis is planning for no cap and the Raiders aren't bleeding money. All assuming Al Davis is not insane.

He wears a bib so he doesn't dribble I believe.

Sometimes when I read posts on this forum, I feel compelled to start bashing my head against the wall.

I'm glad people are so cavalier at the prospect of losing Gostkowski. Apparently people are of the opinion that kickers are not allowed to miss field goals, ever. These same people apparently did not watch a single game this season (including playoffs).

Gostkowski is a good kicker with a cannon for a leg who hasn't even entered his prime. But I'm sure we can find a placement UDFA to take his place. And then when he shanks critical kicks, we can all blame BB's crappy judgment and Kraft for being cheap.
