I don't know his contract situation but BB has always liked him.
The Bengals went out with a wimper in the playoffs and may be making changes. I do not see them winning that division again next year.

Your thoughts on him?

Better options out there without the shenanigans.

With all due respect to 85, when's the last time he had a season worthy of the antics he comes up with?

I don't mind his antics at all. With Chad it's mostly tongue and cheek. I feel he would loosen things up a bit in the locker room. Lawyer Milloy wasn't always a robot and had an outgoing personality combined with a hate to lose attitude.

receivers:

Randy - number 1 wideout
Chad - number 2 wideout
Wes/Julian - slot receiver

It would be like 2007 when we had a true number 2 receiver to REALLY open things up (Stallworth).

People say we had no number 3 receiver this year...but I say we had no true number 2. Wes Welker is amazing and possibly the best receiver on the team. The numbers have nothing to do with that. In my opinion the slot receiver is always the number 3.

I don't think BB will find it amusing and in the end his opinion is all that really matters. We need football players not side show acts.

Call me crazy, but I think 72 catches over a thousand yards and 9 touchdowns constitutes a football player ;-)

When the so called 'side show act' is a friend of BB's and he's someone other team members will listen to, who gives a sh$t if he pulls a Deionne Branch after he scores a TD.

not for nothing....BB LOVES ocho. Loves him. And it's not the blowing smoke up your but type stuff that he does most of the team. He really likes and respects ocho as a ftball player. It's wierd...but it's true.

I approve of this message. He has too much respect for BB to go against his wishes with the antics. He still has ability and can be a relatively cheap drastic upgrade to Aiken. What is his contract status?

NO Walter or Bryant

please no more headaches!!..

i wouldnt mind it at all chad is a very good receiver who can make plays for us, he would also free up moss so teams couldnt triple him and lets not forget that there arent two darrelle revis' on the jets

If you think of how rough the fans and media have been on Moss and picking him apart for every little thing, it's only going to be worse if we brought in Ochocinco. Any criticism you see in the media about Moss (legit or not) is only magnified with Ocho.

good but overrated.

So it would be annoying here, but these guys really don't give a damn what the media and/or fans message board says. The locker room atmosphere is significantly different than what the media wants you to believe it is.

Plus we'd probably be approaching 07 records with them both here :p

The big difference between Randy and Ochocinco is that the press LOVES Chad. He talks to them all the time and he is a quote machine.

How does that magnify the 'so called' criticism of Moss? If anything it would be the exact opposite as it would take pressure off Randy (you don't really think he gives a sh$t what the media says anyway?).

I believe he wants to win and just has a little fun. He may help keep the team a bit loser.
He certainly would be better than AD I'm sure in the locker room.

I'd give up a 4th or 5th this year for him (not sure if we even have a 4th). Nothing higher than that, we need the higher picks. Plus he'd have to be willing to sign a new cap friendly deal. Maybe, just maybe, a future 3rd. We're looking at 2 or 3 years max of production. But WR is clearly an area of desperation.

I thought he was under contract for another yr or two--FWIW.

After tasting the playoffs again, I really don't see Marvin Lewis dismantling his offense too much. I think they'll try to improve in some areas and go from there, I can't see why they'd get rid of any chemistry between Palmer and 85, who is their biggest offensive weapon.

(Even though we'll continue to talk about it every offseason;))

True enough. The Boston media would probably love for him to come too.

I meant that every perceived issue with Moss (legit or not) is only worse with Ocho. Moss dogs it? Wait til you see Ocho. Moss is an overpriced decoy when we play good corners? Ditto Ocho, who was wiped out by Revis back to back weeks. Moss tunes out when he's not getting the ball? Ocho's way worse.

Moss is more talented, produces more, and still gets killed by the fans and media. What will happen with Ocho, who isn't as good but thinks he's better?

Sam Aiken shouldn't even be considered a #4 WR, cuz he sux.
Special Teamer is all IMO.
