The rumors will fly. The reality is that we COULD be at a turning point in the shape of the patriots. See below for Brady and his ten dozen strong supporters.
======================================
Upgrades at other positions can wait.

First we need to replace Waston, Green, Neal and Thomas. Then, we need to replace any of the 11 KEY PLAYERS listed below if they are not available to start the 2010 season. If any ar signed for only one year, we will need to replace them for 2011. Then, we can consider further upgrades.
==================================================
BRADY (will he be back to 100%?)

MOSS (I'm sure trade rumors will start soon)
WELKER (when will be back?)
TAYLOR (our HOF rb)
MANKINS
FAULK

WILFORK
MAYO (will he be back to 100%)
BODDEN
BANTA-CAIN

GOSTKOWSKI

If I had to guess I'd say Welker probably won't be back to start the season. I have complete confidence that the following will be back (and yes at "100%") :

Brady, Moss, Faulk, Wilfork, Mayo, Gostkowski

I'm not quite sure what they will do about:

Taylor, Mankins, Bodden and Banta-Cain.

I think Bodden and Mankins are the two primary ones that we really want to keep. Depends on what they demand, and where that falls within the Patriots value for them.

I agree with you almost 100%. I think Mankins will be back, as he will likely be a restricted free agent. I hope they bring Bodden back.

But I also think Banta-Cain will be back. Just because we haven't heard anything doesn't mean nothing has been done. I think that there was probably a logistical issue with the extension, and they wanted him signed before the Bucs game, so they just had to go back with a one year deal.

Mayo will be back at 100%!

Do we really need another thread on this?

This board gets clogged up by the same people starting basically the same threads and then news gets knocked off the first page. Like the TBC extension not going through thread. A lot of people missed that.

I'm not worried about Mayo's injury. He has the entire offseason to rehab and I'm sure he'll be living at Gillette like he did last year. David Harris was injured in his second year which noticeably affected his performance and he was lights out this season.

Wes will probably miss an early part of the season but if anyone can come back from a serious injury it's him.

Brady
Moss
Welker
Edelman
Mankins
Vollmer

Wilfork
Warren
Mayo
Bodden
Butler
Meriweather
