That is good thing.

While I thought did an OK job, he didn't succeed in three key areas:

1)Implementing what Belichick wanted (RAC was good at that)
belichick knows how to develop shcemes and to make ingame changes. Pees couldn't ahve been lsitening.

2) Communication between coach and players, and in teaching communication between players

3) instilling a winning attitude in the players

Re: We Now Have Openings At HC and at OC

We have an opening at HC? When did BB get fired?

op, you drinkin? im drinkin, but...you drinkin? HC?

Great, now Bill can be acting DC as well as OC ;)

Im confused, did b ob get the boot or are you trying to be cute since obrien is not officially oc

I''m not being cute, Obrein is not the OC, and never has been. Obrein has been acting in that capacity, and, as was the case with Josh, Belichick has an oepning and a decision to make regarding the OC position.

I would have to disagree with #3 when in his 4 years here we won 49 games and were in 2 AFCC games and a SB.
YOu sound like we have been losers.

In this, his contract year, all three have been issues.

Should Pees take any hit for the attitudes of Seymour and Thomas?

Should Pees take any hit for some players follwing Thomas instead of him and Belichick?

We are great team. We should have top coordinators. In the end, Pees didn't do a good enough job for many to want to offer him a new contract. Would you have offered Pees a new contract?

Sometimes you just let a coach or player play out their contract and part ways.

okee was a train wreck ....one of the worst OC in Pats history....not that I blame him....he was a towel boy before BB gave him his big break!!!

Urban Myer as our OC and Nick Saban as our DC. Problem solved!

We know that BB sees these guys every year. Why doesn't he invite them to Pats so that he doesn't have to travel far to see them????

The friendship among them is EXCELLENCE.

2 well-known college coaches + they are BB's best friends= CHAMPIONSHIP for years. The formular for our success is one phone call away. BB needs to pick up the phone and here goes our next perfect season. A winning formular if you ask me!

Why did we let Dom Capers get away again

Why did we let Dom Capers get away again

because his/BB's schemes are different. andhe wouldve become HC somewhere else sooner if he was good here and left with a scheme which bb doesnt follow.

I don't know if Pepper Johnson is the answer. Look what he did for our defensive line this year... Not very good..

As for O'brien. Guy is a dud. No imagination. At least McDaniels had some unique plays..

I thought it was more of a promotion to go from DB coach to DC. NEP already had a DC so he wasn't going to get a promotion anytime soon.
