O.K. So the Patriots are out of the picture so now you can predict the games without hoping one or the other wins now....

What are your picks for this weekend games?

I'll go first...

Dallas Cowboys 29
Minnesota Vikings 27

I think Romo and Ware on both sides of the ball are on fire and this is where Favre usually lays an egg when the game gets big and he starts throwing it all over the place and making mistakes - The Cowboys are on a nice winning streak while the Vikings have been mediocre since early december - This is reminicent as to why the hottest teams in December win in January - Should still be a close game until Dallas scores a FG with 1 minute left to win it.

San Diego Chargers 28
New York Jets 13

Its been an up and down cinderella season for Sanchez who has had to rely on his defense and rushing attack to win games for them,I just don't think that Sanchez can keep up the scoring with a very solid season from Rivers who may lock up with Vincent Jackson on a few long bombs and maybe this is the game Revis has a hiccup, expect Tomlinson to grind out a nice game as well..should not be close - SD will be in the SB.

New Orleans Saints 40
Arizona Cardinals 23

If the Cardinals thought it was tough to keep up with the offensive explosion of the Packers, imagine of how tough a 100% healthy Saints team will be with a well rested Brees and Company,Arizona should have saved some of those points for N.O.,They will need them,I love the classy Kurt Warner who may be the greatest playoff QB ever, but this game should be over by end of the 3rd quarter.

UPSET SPECIAL:

Baltimore 23
Indianapolis 20

Don't know why but I really don't think Indy is ready for this game and against a very confident defense,I think taking those weeks off as a team that really has won with everything on Manning's shoulders almost all season may not be enough,We all saw a very firey and up tempo Ravens team who's leader Ray Lewis wants another ring badly..this is another nail biter that goes to the end with Stover MISSING the game tying FG with 30 seconds left to lose a very exciting game.

Flacco being at less then 100@ against Mathis and Freeney makes me think this game could turn into a blowout if the Colts can jump out early to a lead.

With the Jets/Chargers game, I wanna see how the Chargers use Jackson and if they will throw the ball up and let him use his size to make a play, something the Pats should have done more with Moss like they did in 2007.

i like Baltimore's chance at beating the snot out of Sayton and the Whiners. Don't know if they can pull off the upset though. SD beats the Jests like their red-headed stepchild. Same goes for NO with Arizona. Vikes/Cowboys is a coinflip if you ask me. whoever hits 20 first wins it. I'd love to see THE Old Man get tossed like a rag doll and throw 3 picks, but I have a feeling they'll be pounding the rock with AP. This is the one game I deffinately don't want to miss in any case.

I don't think Flacco will even be a factor. The best thing the Ravens could do is keep the ball out of Flacco's hands as much as possible. Keep the ball on the ground and don't let Freeny or Mathis do their thing. Let Ray Rice do his thing against a team that lets up quite a bit of yardage on the ground.

This is going to be a game of Ray Lewis vs. Peyton Manning. The Ravens will run the ball a ton and try and keep Manning off the field, much like Miami did. The difference is Miami couldn't keep Peyton from eating them alive when he did get the ball. This could be a very different story.

I'd like to say the Colts, and I hope they do win, but man Baltimore just looked way too good and way too hungry last week. If the Colts come out even a shred flat after the long lay off, they'll be done for.

Re: Official NFL Divisional Round Playoff Predictions Thread

I'm not sure what to think of the Saints. On one hand they had the NFL's number one offense this season, and are playing a team that just gave up over forty points and forced only one punt. On the other hand they may have peaked too soon; they haven't played a good game in a month.

On a side note, only two of the last eight playoff teams play outdoors in cold weather, and both are on the road. Seems to me the NFL's desire for more passing and scoring has resulted in a shift in what it takes to win. The NFL's elite is now comprised of a larger proportion of teams built to take advantage of playing indoors than ever before.

I think the Cardinals are absolutely gonna crush the Saints, that defense is worse than ours, and Drew Brees is overated.

But I did predict Bengals, Pats, Eagles, Packers, so don't trust me xD

jets can upset the chargers. SD run D isnt good and jets can run very well.

Eh what the hell, I'll throw my hat into this ring:

New Orleans over Arizona 34-21 -- New Orleans gets up a couple of scores early, Arizona panics a bit, Warner finds the NO secondary a couple of times, then rides off into the sunset after the loss.

Indianapolis over Baltimore 31-6 -- Joe Flacco will not complete 4 passes and win this game. A lot of people seem to think that Baltimore can hang with Indy, but that secondary is just not very good, and with Manning's quick release, he can get rid of the ball quickly enough to pick that defense apart.

Dallas over Minnesota 24-14 -- Dallas is playing the best football of any team not named San Diego, while Minnesota has not (aside from their drubbing of the "Are the U-Hauls warmed up yet?" Giants).

San Diego over New York Jets 17-3 -- The Chargers strength (Pass O) plays into the hands of the Jets strength (Pass D), and the Chargers weakness (Run O) coincides with, the Jets defensive weakness. That said, this is the game that Mark Sanchez has to go win, and I just don't think he does. I wouldn't be surprised to see this game close late in the 4th, with the back-breaking pick-6 sealing the deal for San Diego.

New Orleans - 42
Arizona - 31

Dallas - 21
Minnesota - 17

San Diego - 20
NYJ - 7

Indianapolis - 24
Baltimore - 12

Colts over Ravens 24-13

Chargers over Jets 21-17

Saints over Cardinals 41-34

Vikings over Cowboys 24-21

I hate to pick all the top seeds because it rarely happens but its the way I see it. Two underdogs with biggest chance to win? Cowboys and Jets.

Jets by 3 over the Chargers
Saints by 10 over the cards
Ravens by 1 over the Colts
Cowboys by 3 over the Favrekings

My guesses...

Jets 21 San Diego 17
Indianapolis 28 Baltimore 14
Dallas 31 Minnesota 28
New Orleans 17 Arizona 13

Jets, Colts, Cowboys, Cardinals. Those are my picks for this weeekend.

Colts in a blowout
Chargers by at least 10
Cowboys by about 6
Saints by about 3 in the best game of the weekend

Saints 38 Cards 27

Colts 35 Ravens 16

Vikings 31 Cowboys 24

Jets 28 Chargers 24

Colts in a blowout
Chargers by at least 10
Cowboys by about 6
Saints by about 3 in the best game of the weekend

Only got the Colts game right.
