Assuming there is no cap, would it be easier to send Adailus Thomas to oh I dont know ,maybee Oakland, then rather cut him and have him sign with the jets.. Im not sure of the cost was just curious to see if it would be eaiser... Thanks..

I doubt any team would want to pay him that kind of money. They would probably want to re-do this contract, which then begs the question of why they would trade for him in the first place. About the only benefit to trading for him would be that his new team would have exclusive rights to renegotiate his contract, but given the fact that tampering is all but legal, that really is not much of a benefit.

Thomas might beworth $5M a year to a team with lots of cash and cap (like KC last year).
We could get a 5th or a 6th.

There's a provision in an uncapped year that says any dead money gets spread out over succeeding years so that teams don't do salary cap dumps in an uncapped year.

$5 million for a good starting OLB is not much money when you look at the NFL salary structures. I would say he's got 4th rounder value at that contract.

The Patriots would get rid of him simply because of his locker room antics.

What a great deal for the chiefs! They give up a sixth and if he doesn't seem to fit in after the preseason, they cut him. I suspect that he is a better prospect than anyone else they could get for a 6th.

Here is a trade that would have all the naysayers disrespecting BB shut the heck up. Pretty crazy but here it goes Adalius Thomas and a third this year for Julius Peppers and a 6th back. It's a win win both players have a new start Carolina gets some pass rush back. Gains a pick high enough to find a decent to good player The patriots find their elephant. I don't think BB is gonna switch his scheme when he had the players it was a force. It's not that other teams hav just caught on alot of it is personel. I would also pry kirk Morrison out of Oakland, draft Carlos dunlap and Austin lane, if that doesn't work to generate a great d of course retaining wilfork nothing will.

Vince is a magnetic, jovial, charming guy who draws others two him. Everybody loves big Vince. Unfortunately what we need leading that defense are some big, angry, driven guys who take it seriously and personally and scare the crap out of immature rookies and even give ****y FA's pause because they won't tolerate attitudes or excuses or intermittent effort impacting their chances of winning. I know some here think that should be on the coaches, but it never truly is. Players won't respond to leadership consistently unless they experience it being reinforced by their peers.
