Again,sigh.....

Hope he doesn't do a Brett Favre now.

Despite the respect he deserves his whole career,Junior was indeed a waste of a roster spot though

Good for him. Go enjoy the hard earned cash and chase tail while surfgin big fella! how many linebackers play to his age? Has there ever been one? Utter lunacy as far as the toll on the body goes.

That's too bad he never got the ring he was looking for. Best of luck to him.

Good luck, Junior. It's too bad he never got that ring.

I thought this might happen after sundays loss, he was one guy i really wanted to see get a ring.

If we win the superbowl next year we should send him a ring.

Im sure being in the Hall of fame will make up for it tho.

Really wish he could have gotten a ring here, sad!

I will echo other posters lamenting that he never got a ring. I'll never forget that image of him and Bruschi hugging after what would of been the game winning TD in SB 42...

Never got that ring but IMO he's still a champion through and through. He'll be remembered for his career as a Charger and rightfully so, but in this region he'll always be a Patriot.

Breaks my heart to see him fall short of his goal. :(

I still hope he gets one, somehow. Like as a "consultant" or something during a SB championship season, similar to how Johnny Pesky got his in 2004.

Damn... the worst part about this year is that we weren't able to get him a SB.

The next time the Patriots make the Super Bowl, they should hire him as a "defensive assistant" or something.

Respectfully disagree. He wasn't a waste of a roster spot with this LB crew...

Good luck Junior and thanks for the effort every week.

He was brought back to add a bit of veteran Leadership to the D.
Wish he'd managed to get his Ring, but SB42 was his best chance of doing that.

Enjoy the surfing, maybe we'll see him as a coach one day and he can win a ring that way. Otherwise he'll have to make do with a spot in the Hall of Fame.

True, but he had the best of all possible chances in (sigh) 07.

I think he was signed for emergency purposes and especially for a leader type player but you can't lead a pack when no one is listening and that is exactly the defensive guys we had as a whole...no one really listened and it showed on the field.

I liked Junior the guy had a lot of energy for his age. I expected him to retire though. Too bad he didn't quite get that ring.

Wish we could have gotten that Super Bowl win for you, buddy. :( Enjoy retirement and surfing.
