Five of our favorites are gone by the 18th pick.

It's a long way from 57 to 120. Hope BB has patience.

naaah!

You and I both know that Belichick will trade for a 3rd.

Especially with so much depth in this draft.

Every single mock of 3 rounds or greater that I look at, I always go to the 3rd round 1st and see who is available. In every single mock so far, there has been so much talent available in the 3rd round that I would be happy filling our 2nd round from it.

In this draft there is DE Jared Odrick at 71 or Tyson Alualu at 125, TE Aaron Hernandez at 68, OT/OG Vladimir Ducasse at 88 or OG Mike Johnson at 96, DE/OLB Austen Lane at 101 and Von Miller at 114, OT Jared Veldheer at 97, and RB Toby Gerhart at 98 or Dexter McCluster (not picked in this mock). You could make a very good draft out of those players.

Could we trade a player or two for a third. Kaczur maybe? Sanders? Light?

I'm sure BB would love one back.

Sure let's create a hole in our roster to get a 3rd and then use a 2nd to repalce the player.

More realistically, we will trade down with one our seconds.

I'm really liking Corey Wootton hope we can land him.

The irony is that the 3rd round (Non compensation picks) is usually a disaster for BB.

Trade Adalius for a 3rd or 4th?

You can also trade out of a 2011 pick (2nd rounder for 3rd rounder) or trade down from 22.

It's such a deep draft that I am favoring QUANTITY!

I can almost see you sitting there on draft day, weeping, desperately hoping that Bill trades his 3rd round pick for a 2nd the next year.

Arellious Benn and Brandon Spikes are available at 22.

Surprised to see Eric Norwood at the bottom of the 1st round. I'd hope he's still around in the mid second since he would make an outstanding pick for OLB.

Man, looking at the list of who might still be available in the 80's makes that Burgess trade look even worse! %$%$#

I have been thinking precisely that.

Not necessarily whom I would pick at those spots, but I'd be very happy with this draft.

Can't help but notice the Raiders and Browns have 2 third-rounders. I believe Belichick has Al Davis's number somewhere...

Instead of Wooten I would select Dan Williams from Tennessee

Why look for a third rounder when we can get back into the second with our 2011 first (keeping the raiders' pick of course).

Speaking of, is the 2011 draft after the expiry of the current CBA and does that mean a rookie cap or slotting system could be in place? Is that draft, as currently scheduled, in jeopardy?

I can't imagine Belichick trading a 1st for a 2nd.

Difficult to imagine, but if there's first round talent available in the first half of the second this year, it's really trading a first for a first. Plus the FA pool may be reduced by certain UFA's becoming RFA's. Which presumably would increase the UFA pool next year. ie Draft may be more important to address needs this year relative to next year where FA may be more important.
