Crable - here we are again but Belichick hasn't released him so he's someone who could maybe help the pass rush.

Wheatley - he looked alright last year before getting hurt and hung in there against Atlanta when Wilhite was out. But he was inactive almost all year.

Ohrnberger - seems like the type who should be a solid pro (with little upside) but, again, rarely got activated.

Tate and McKenzie are different as they got hurt but the three above seem like they should be able to help at least as role players. But this year . . . WTF ???

I do not count on any of these players.

I think that Crable and Wheatley have their last chances in this Training Camp and preseason.

I do have some hope for Ohrnberger. When we draft a raw rdevelopmental rookie, we should expect that he will take time to develop.

Tate has had two major injuries in two years. I don't expect him back.

It is really tough for a midlevel rookie to come back after injuries take away his rookie season. I do expect that he will be back. I expect him to be healthy, but he's been away from footbakll for a year, a crucial year.

Crable is a perfect example of everything wrong.

The guy has 20+ TFL and handfuls of sacks in college. He is a better prospect I dare say than ANYONE coming out of college this year. Seymour said he was quicker off the line than anyone he had ever seen. Yet he can't even see the roster from our team? Which desperately needs a pass rush?

Why?

If he can't make it then I don't think they will ever have a pass rushing rookie play significant time. BB just doesn't trust them with assignments. Why not have him only in on passing downs until he learns more or whatever?

It's hopeless. Let a talented guy like this rot and trade the future for a JAG in Burgess.

The good news is he was IRed not released. Belichick has shown he'll release a player quickly so he must still have at least a ray of hope for Crable.

Tate has had two major injuries in two years. I don't expect him back.

His injury this year was never described anywhere to my knowledge. How do we know it is "major" or not? It was significant enough to IR him, but he was a PUP guy anyway, a rookie, missed camp, and we needed a roster spot aparently.

I'm hoping his IR trip was more a matter of "he's a little dinged up and far too raw to help us anyway"

but who knows?

This organization is so secretive he could have had knee replacement surgery and we would never know.

I'm hoping he becomes a decent return man. I don't want Edelman to have to do it, I don't trust Maroney, Slater seems better without the ball, and I have high hopes for Butler to earn a starting DB slot and so I'd rather he also focus on cover skills vs. returns.
