It seems to fly in the face of what Brady was saying. I'm not certain that Tedy is using his words in the typical way we understand them. He says they weren't prepared but then he attacks their intensity. Brady says they were very well prepared, the most prepared team in the league but that they did not come out to play. In other words, they agree, both think they lacked intensity. For Bruschi, intensity is a part of preparation, and for Brady it has more to do with gameplan.

I dunno. I think Bruschi's analysis covers some rather obvious points. I mean, I think we all probably noticed that the Ravens were able to run the ball at will and that, without Welker, Brady was having to hold the ball longer....

I don't think we can conclude that the Patriots "weren't ready to play". To contrary, it been pretty obvious all season that the Patriots aren't a very good team, certainly not a championship contending team. They are what they are this year: probably an 8-8 team that won 10 games because it's a well run, well coached operation.

There's not much you can do to "prepare" for an opponent when you simply aren't talented or experienced or good enough to beat that opponent. Belichick summed it up pretty well post-game when he said that the Ravens were simply better than the Patriots in every phase of the game. I think that's true.

I look at points 4 and 5 as the two most telling observations. Unfortunately, both are items that many people here understood to be problems as early as last offseason, but they were never adequately addressed by the team.

Bruschi is clearly referring to preparation in terms of intensity.

Believe it or not I am actually sorry to see your team's season end at the hands of the Ravens. I was looking forward to our team playing your team in Indy this year. Make no mistake though, you lost to a very good Ravens team, you have previously had a rough time with anyway. We get them this week and may lose to them as well. I hope not because I really want us to play the Chargers and beat them. I think that this has been one crazy playoff year. Pitt not in it and now the Jets being in it. (courtesy of us) I think that if the Colts played the way the Patriots did they would have gotten booed as well. It may not be right but it is what fans have the right to do. I think you still have a hell of a team and just need a few personnel tweaks and game planning. Here is looking forward to 2010, when we play you in Foxboro.

Foxboro has certainly missed Peyton. The place will look forward to welcoming him back with open arms next season.

Just remember, if your OL gives Manning any time whatsoever, he will light up the Ravens' poor d-backfield, as long as he keeps track of where Ed Reed is.

I'm hoping the Colts lose obviously, but your OL may give you a better shot than ours. I admire one guy on your team besides Manning and that's Reggie Wayne, who--though he's well regarded--is actually underrated. He's tremendous and I would seriously think of taking him as my #1 receiver if I were in a league wide draft. I don't think anyone runs better routes.

Coaching can only go so far. Coaches don't win games, players do.

And yesterday, the players showed they didn't want it.

It's a different team, different mentality.

Did you see the Patriots locker room issues this year?

I mean, Adalius Thomas? A couple of others.

This should come as no surprise. Adalius was the guy out of position who allowed the long Ray Rice run. Then the young players get demoralized because a high paid veteran is not playing with the intensity needed. In Belichick's non-attacking style of defense, everyone needs to do "their job." If one cog is out position, then what's the point?
