Randy Moss questions?

it's obvious. Randy Moss quits when he thinks his team has no chance. When Welker went down, Randy Moss quit. the season was over as far as he was concerned. he pulled the same stuff in Oakland and Minnesota.

He had ice on his knees, seen limping in the locker room, missed Friday's practice for "non injury related reasons". Get over your need to find a scapegoat and understand that Moss was battling through injuries and even if fully healthy he couldn't carry the team when your other options are Aiken and then even Slater! The OL helped give the Ravens a 24 point 1st quarter lead, and from that point the hole is dug.

Any Moss bashers need to lower their standards. He is a pro bowl WR this year and it's not because he's a legacy like Favre. He was the 5th best WR in the league this year, and he may not be breaking records, but the Pats could do far worse then that for a #1 WR.

You're a jackass to think he quit on the team.

So he walked around with ice on his knees so he could quit today ... you need help.

My intent in this thread was to wonder if Moss has 2 knees and a back to even play next year.

You have issues.

Actually, I was wondering just where was Watson today? Is it a forgone conclusion that he won't be resigned. Because Baker's already signed through next season.

He dropped a pass today, and should have drew a PI penalty that was a no call. Hes a lot better than Baker. Baker has been a total bust.

Oh come on Mo, this isn't on Moss. It's mainly on the OL, for putting us in a terrible situation early on. The OL was mainly responsible for 17 1st quarter points.

Moss obviously is hurt and needs to heal up (he was seen limping in the locker room on Thursday). Without Welker we had pretty much no one else, and give a 24 point early deficit and the hole was dug too deep.

That's the story of the last 3 seasons. If they fix the OL they won't need Moss. Just some above average WR's. If they can't or don't he's worthless. It took the league a little while to catch on in 2008 even with another outside receiver, but from the time they did the gig was up. He's not a player who can adapt his game but his talent is seductive to guys like Brady and Belichick. He is what he is and no team has ever won with him. Teams need talent, but when the focus too much on one talent it hamstrings them unless that player is one who can make teams pay. Brady used to be able to, but not since the blueprint. Teams know Moss and they know if they shut him down or rough him up he checks out. He doesn't have that dig down deep that less talented guys often have that allows them to find a way. I know he's probably hurt. Who isn't. Thing is he's looked like this all season, and he looked like this in chunks of last season. I don't think he knows how to win or he doesn't get what it entails. Or Lombardi was wrong about him and he was done but he got a second wind with Brady for a while until the adreneline wore off.

Randy is nothing more than an expensive decoy here. This team can't afford him. And they don't need him. They need better overall talent on offense and $9M and broader focus and more reps might help them build rapore with that.

Yup, and I have to wonder if they need to re-evaluate their scouting abilties in the offensive skill position. Moss and Welker were trades, but we can't seem to get any drafted players to contribute aside from Maroney but he hasn't done a whole lot.

I can agree with that. Hopefully Tate turns out to be a quality WR for this team

Moss could barely put pressure on his knees. That awkward hit his lower legs took in the Houston game last week look to be the cause. The Pats knew he could not run and cut. I watched him closely during the game and it was painful to see how little he could cut or do much of anything. For Brady12 or whatever the hell your name is, you have hit an all time low, which I didn't think was possible.

Just heard Lewis saying we wanted to take Moss out of the game and keep the rest of the guys in front of us. Think about that. There is no play maker outside out of Moss.

That's where the Galloway signing came from, the Pats needed someone else that could stretch defenses and make plays down field. Hopefully Tate can be this guy, otherwise we need to go out and get 2 WR's, one who can make plays down field.

Once again an attack on Randy Moss from Mo Lewis Rocks. I guess leading the league in receiving TD's is nothing...

For the rest of the world that doesn't have an agenda, Randy Moss is an excellent WR (see the Yahoo! article from this week).

You believe that the money Moss makes could be used to make the overall team better and I'll have to disagree. An "expensive decoy" is in the probowl and put up the 5th best season of a WR, playing with a shaky OL and only competent receiver besides him was the slot in Welker. That does not sound like simply a "decoy".

To say "everyone is hurt" is just a slap in the face to people with more serious injuries. Moss' main ability is his speed, and with a bad back and knees, it's extremely difficult to do what makes him great. He's NOT a slot receiver, he's NOT a posession receiver, there's no "digging down deep".

To say he doesn't know how to win is laughable considering he was a few defensive misplays away from having the winning TD in the superbowl of a perfect season, while breaking records.

There is no "blueprint" either, unless by blueprint you mean knowing how to make this OL look like a bunch of fools. You can argue that the $9M on Moss is better spent on the middle of the road guys, fine but that would go for any other top receiver too. I can understand the argument that one top of the line guy isn't worth 2-3 good but not great guys. If it's the money being put into one player you want to argue then fine that at least has some validity. But to accuse Moss again of "quitting" or dogging it, or checking out is 100% ridiculous.

And stop absolving O'Brien and the offensive coaches, they failed miserably this week in preparation as well as play calling. Yea let's just keep rolling Brady out, that worked out so well... for the Ravens.

Not sure why this thread was made.

We got our arses whooped on all sides...offense, defense, and special team.

And here some of you are *****in about Moss who was rarely looked at by Brady...the OC never called a deep pass play once...settling for draw plays to Faulk and short passes to the slot and TE...pathetic!

They completely blew it on Galloway. And bad. And they knew Tate had an injury that might prevent him from getting on the field this year. It's really inconceivable that they couldn't come up with someone better than Aiken as a third receiver.

I completely agree and didnt we go into training camp thinking we had too many WRs?

We need another WR or may be 2 next year but UNLESS Brady gets time to throw it will not matter.
The OL needs some new blood!

Moss led the league in touchdowns this year. We are a 4-12 team without him. Saying we are better without him is just stupid. The guy was hurting today...let him rest up this offseason, he's the least of my worries.

I'm just worried that Welker's career is "toast". He will need one year to recover, plus when he gets back that will be a "comeback" year where he's not full speed, and that leaves 2012 where Welker could return to what he once was, and the odds of that are very slim in today's game.

I blame the last two years on the antichrist that is Bernard Pollard:mad:
