At least we go out early in the post season....time to rebuild, redraft and just become a better team.

We have been blessed with the state of our team over the past decade and as fans we should never forget it.

Thanks for the great memories and rings Pats!!

Here's to a healthy off season and a great draft....

Hard to be optimistic about this team. They are clearly falling, with a worse record than last year, crashed and burned today. Pathetic performance. Next year they face a tougher schedule without Welker. They might be .500 next year looking up at the Jets. We have nto seen the bottom yet.

The Pats team of the 1st half decade.

The Steelers team of the 2nd half decade.

The Colts, useless turds.

they might bounce back and have a huge season next year but clearly they need to upgrade. this was a beatdown.

Wilfork and Warren missed the better of a month to end the season. Remember how we talk about too much rest and finishing strong?

The Ravens destroyed the Patriots in gameplanning and play calling. The Patriots receiving core is atrocious when you take one of Moss/Welker out. They may be worse than 2006. I would have RATHERED forcing it to Moss deep than to throw to the likes of Aiken and Slater. The OL... I dunno what the heck their deal is.

The "run" is not over, and we are already about 80% rebuilt. Experience will come with time. They need some more damn talent on Offense though.

The conspiracy theorist in me wants to believe that it was simply Adalius' hating BB and tipping his old team off :p

On a day like today, yeah, I think this is the best way to look at things. We got our butts kicked, but overall, having been a Pats fan since the early 70's, I'm still grateful for this decade.

That bastard Adalius.....he better be gone.....

Good points too...

The team has the talent, but no strong leaders. Coaching and player wise.

OC: there is none
DC: is up in the box all game. Doesn't even talk to the players during the game
Captains-
Tom Brady: Leads best by example, and hasn't done that well this year. Often seen angry on the sidelines
Randy Moss: More of a joker on the sidelines. Quiet when the team is losing
Vince Wilfork: Also leads by example. Doesn't seem vocal
Jerod Mayo: 2nd year guy who's still learning. Doesn't seem vocal
Sam Aiken: Does a good job leading ST, but doesn't provide much to the rest of the team.

It's a big difference from guys like McGinest, Harrison, Bruschi, etc who could all get the team back on track no matter the situation. The leaders of today seem to just put on their grumpy face and hope for the best.

Wilfork had 13 tackles today ... team leader ... what are you saying?

Best way to look at it, plus I won't have to worry about my blood pressure next week. In fact, I didn't worry about it this week after the first quarter.

I'm not saying this is the end, but if it is, it has been a terrific ride, more than this old Pats could possibly have hoped for in the pre-pre-pre Belichick days.

Just a thought: can you guys picture Bruschi, Vrabel, or Harrison allowing a game to get this out of hand? The Pats gave up.

That's your emotions talking.

No I couldn't. I would love to see what the locker room was like at halftime.

Maybe, but I'm not typically the overreacting, emotional type. Honestly, I dunno how someone could watch that game today and not come to the same conclusion.

No, he has a point. It's blatently obvious that this team lacks leadership, especially on defense. Even the few vocal guys like Meriweather are clowns.

No I agree we absolutely miss those guys and their experience and leadership would help the defense tremendously. I just mean that this game got away because of the 1st quarter pitiful offense (or was it amazing Ravens gameplanning that led them to know what we were doing? Or maybe good buddy Thomas... nevermind).

Let's assume the Rice run for a TD was a fluke that could have happened with Rodney, Bru etc... The rest of the 17 was basically on the offense. 3 man rush and strip sack. Roll-out and Brady panics for an INT. Force it to Watson's butter fingers as he gets drilled for another INT.

24-0 in the first. And after that the Ravens only score 9 more points in 3 quarters.
