Rookies aren't going to fix the problem

There are different parts to "fixing the problem" and rookies are part of it. As are this year's rookies becoming veterans and whatever other changes are made.

this was an impulse thread and if you want a quick fix, rookies are not the way to go. Is what I was getting at.

Re: What no draft pick will we get?

If drafting GOOD rookies is not the answer then please tell us what is?

Has trading down and back another year helped us the last 2/3 years? NO

We need new younger players who can make a difference on this team.
Having the same players next year and we will be lucky to make the playoffs.

They won't, but they surely can help.
They can help our pass rush problems, our O-Line problems...

With Brady completely recovered, welker hopefully full recovered, with our defense with more experience, with new rookies, we will have a great team.

Doesn't matter, they will trade out anyways.

Please god NO

This team needs decent young players - and at least 3 who can contribute next season

A C/RG
A DE/OLB
A WR/RB

Or preferably all of the above

To answer the question, evidently we get #23 if GB wins the next game and #22 if Arizona wins.

We drafted a lot of good rookies this year. Vollmer is a future LT, Butler and Chung both showed promise in the secondary, Edelman will be a solid slot receiver, Hoyer looks like a solid back-up...

The defense was atrocious, but part of that was the massive overhaul in the off-season. We got a lot younger, but there are growing pains that are part of that. New younger players can help but they aren't the whole solution.

IF we trade back in the first 2 rounds I will be sick.
FORGET WR/RB early ...we need 2 OL and DE/OLB each. Our line play stinks to be honest on both sides of the ball.

Logan Mankins, Wilfork and Gostkowski all say hello.. Oh and Guyton sez hello too.

Guyton stinks....period. If we trade down this year again I will be shopping for a new TV as I will throw the freaking remote through it.

Trading down makes sense if the right guy isn't there. Or if several "right guys" are there.

I love Guyton, but I prefer him outside where he can use his speed.

True, but several times he has traded down and the guy that was taken has turned out to be a good player...remember we all were screaming for him to take Malaluga (sp)? How did he turn out?

We have FOUR picks in the first two rounds. If we draft three of them and trade one of this years 2nds for a next years 1st I will be quite pleased.

Well go Cardinals ... hopefully NEM isn't rooting for them.

younger players will help sustain success, but if you want to win now you need to make the fix through FA

When we were winning superbowls did anyone talk about the great rookie class that brought us there? It was always that few players we picked up in FA, plugged in and had success. Even the 16-0 season was predicated on the FAs we picked up
