Cannot remember ever seeing this info on a visiting team, where they are staying and a party being hosted by a Baltimore Radio Station... interesting, thank goodness there are no Football Hooligans:rolleyes:

Patriots hosting: Ravens and their brood to roost in R.I. | Rhode Island news | projo.com | The Providence Journal

Members of the Baltimore Ravens football team are expected to arrive in Rhode Island on Saturday and will stay at The Westin Providence in advance of their matchup with the New England Patriots in the opening round of the NFL playoffs.

Visiting teams rarely stay at the Renaissance Hotel & Spa next to Gillette Stadium for practical reasons, said a Patriots spokesman. That hotel has little of the meeting space teams need, and there’s too much commotion around the stadium on game day.

A Baltimore radio station booked 100 rooms at the Hilton Providence and will host a Saturday night party at Dave & Busters in Providence Place.

I guess it's so that fans who don't feel like getting stabbed this weekend can stay clear of the Westin Providence ;)

Okay, which Pats player is going to send over the hookers?

Why do I get the feeling I'll be waking up tomorrow morning reading a story about the hotel's fire alarms going off?

I'm sure the Ravens are so very thrilled that birdcage liner aka the ProJo published their sleeping arrangements for all to see. That [edit] rag never fails to live up to the low opinion everyone has of them.
Dopes!!

Nice hotel. Here's hoping there are a bunch of hungover Ravens stumbling into Gillette tomorrow.

It really is the worst. Jim Donaldson is a caveman.

Yeah, we need to find someone to rescue SMY and get her to a GOOD pape... oh. Um... are there any?

I agree, but not sure painting it as having to do with a political affiliation has much bearing... quite sure the Herald would publish the same as they seem to relish following celebrities around.

Shalize Manza Young is very good though...

She seems nice. Plus she's the only sports writer there under 85 and who has actually logged on to the internet.

This one always bothered me.

But the Westin is right in the heart of Providence and is connected to both the Providence Place Mall and the Dunkin Donuts Center (via the Convention Center). There will be plenty of commotion tonight in the lobby because of a Friars game at the Dunk, but I'm sure the Ravens have their own floor(s) high up (it's one of the tallest buidings in the city).

Just read it. What a jerk.

He's also blasted twitter in a ridiculous way that made him seem like an old prick.

Jim Donaldson = doosh

I hope someone picks that up in a google search for him.

I love Providence...

Yep, me too. It's a really special, unique place to me and I can't wait to be back there someday. The schools suck and the taxes are high but otherwise it's great.

i understand the Ravens have invited Gilbert Arenas to give the pregame motivation speech...seems he has some time on his hands...

It would be a shame if a fire alarm got pulled...thanks to this publicity lol
