Fine by me. If they aren't supposed to be in the country, they ought not to be getting jobs here either.

Yep. Nothing to see here.

Why? The Patriots and Kraft didn't hire the illegals the contractor did. It's not Kraft's obligation or that of the Patriots to check those employees paper work.
For the media they will jump on this regardless whose fault it is,we all know that.

Is it a BIG news story?,Of course not

Will it get coverage?,Definately

they will just ship them out here in San diego, blend in with the rest of the illegals.Have a couple anchor babies so they can get welfare and foodstamps clog up the schools , get free english classes. Why bother with them?

Good thing we didn't use them to clear the field right before Ghost kicked FG.

The angles for covrering this story are two-fold: (1.) Unemployment rate and (2.) Taxation.

I'll tell what the outcome of this will be. The contractor will issue a statemnt denying hiring workers who do not meet legal requirements. The true illegals will be deported unless of course they get married during the investigation. With out immigration reform this will be a continual cycle of stories like this. There also has to be a path in the reform for the 12 mil + illegals already in this country to take.

This is really not a story that should focus on the Krafts but the weak immigration policy and enforcement we currently have as a country.

This is way above ESPN's scope.

And the scope of the Patriots forum. . . .

This thread is too bad even for the practice squad imo.

This thread is too bad even for the practice squad imo.

Its news dude and DOES pertain to the Patriots...or do you not care for news, only living in the football world?

I'm going to have to agree w/ee on this. Not really related to Pats. It's news but should be reserved for cnn.com and their commentary section.

I agree with the poster who said this thread is less than newsworthy. Big deal, a few guys making $7 an hour were here illegally.

So why am I supposed to care about this?

This is all over ESPN and I can't go anywhere without anyone talking about this.

Maybe we can find a punter out of the group...

It's not a "Patriots" story, it's the story of the private contractor that the Patriots hired.

So then it's a Patriots story. Thanks for buttressing my argument.

Were they hired by the contractor to remove snow form the property of Mr. Robert Kraft, correct?

Robert Kraft is the owner of the stadium which houses the home of the New England Patriots, right?

Its a Patriots story then (not earth shattering news nor is it inside team related, but a Patriots related story)
