You gotta feel for the guy, He gets gypped out of a shot at the national title last year. And now after finally reaching the game he gets knocked out after just a few plays.

For sure, tough way to go out for him. But the Freshie might get him the Title anyways!

I certainly hope so. It would be sweet for a Freshman to deny that midgit Saban another title.

Texas wins this game easily with McCoy. I thought it would boil down to McCoy vs McElroy since both team's had good defenses, and thought McCoy was the much better option at QB. McElroy played the game of his life vs. Florida, he will never play like that again.

Bama got extremely lucky to pull this one out. Shovel pass pick 6 with 18 seconds left in first half, true freshman QB, no real threat of a running game from Texas, and a costly fumble by Texas inside their own 10. Bama was not the best team in the nation this year. Florida was. And Texas was 2nd.

Yup, Alabama got lucky tonight. But a win is a win.

Tough one for Texas.

That interview with him was tough to watch.

Definitely a solid kid, good football player... See him in the NFL next year and hopefully that injury isn't too bad.

Just like the Giants got lucky in 2007 hey. You take what you get in championship games. The record books don't care about what happened during the game.. they only care for the result.

That's why Bama crushed Florida in the SEC championship game...

Actually, that would be Carlos Dunlap. Florida couldn't sniff McElroy all game. Much different from their defense thoughout the year. And, by the way, I'm a pretty big Gator fan and have watched damn year every single one of their games this season. Trust me when I say that Dunlap's loss made a huge difference.

No more than for Tebow. Basically, he and McCoy got swept away when the Crimson Tide rolled in. We can only hope that they're out there somewhere, still alive.

Injuries are part of the game though and you have to overcome them. Like tonight Texas could say they are better than Bama because McCoy got hurt, it just doesnt work that way. You have to prove it on the field

Yeah... only Dunlap got a DUI and wasn't injured. Losing him would have been like Alabama losing McClain. To put it in Pats related terms, it would be like us losing Vince Wilfork then getting chewed up in the ground game. Sure, Alabama won the game and the championship. They deserve props. However, anybody that has watched the Gators and the 'Tide this year knows that the SEC Championship game would have looked MUCH different with Dunlap in. He is our best pass rusher, and I personally hope he falls to the Pats. With Dunlap in, McElroy doesn't have a career day and the Gator defense doesn't allow a season-high in yards and points. How anybody could say that Alabama would have still blown Florida out with him in is beyond me.

Basically, it sounds like you're arguing just to see yourself argue here.

Jordan Shipley = WWIII

Hopefully Julian Edelman is WWII.

Take into account that Florida was missing Dunlap. I'm not a fan of either team, so I'm being objective.

McElroy played the game of his life that day. Florida's defense missed Dunlap and just didn't show up. I'd say if they played 10 times, Florida would have won 7 times.

Yes I know the only thing that matters is the W. But I thought throughout the year Florida was a more complete team than Bama. Just because they outplayed them on one day doesn't say they are definitely the better team in my eyes. It's just like 2007. The Pats were by far the best and most complete team in the league that year, and the Giants beat them in the Super Bowl. Play that game 10 times, Pats win 9 times.

To bad we don't have playoffs, would love to see BSU roll up the tide or any top team this year for that matter.

Gratz to Bama on a great season, mabey next year BSU will get a shot at them.

Riiiiiight.

I do feel bad for McCoy, even as a 'Bama (because of Saban) fan.

Put down the pipe. Boise is good, but they would get CRUSHED going up against Alabama or Florida. I'm not even sure they would beat Ole Miss. Still not sure why someone doesn't make a play for your head coach. He's done a good job with that program.

All i have to say is,,,,,,,,,ROLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!

oh, and screw the gators :D

saban and mack were going no please take over this game and you will. no you win.
