I guess this is on topic, it's about a competitor in the game on Sunday.

So, those of you with tickets to the game or who know the Blade well, how do you think the crowd will respond to David Tyree when his number is called and he takes the field?

He isn't playing WR for the Ravens, but he does play a lot apparently on Special Teams with a couple of big tackles to his credit.

Will the fans begrudge the guy a little respect, boo him or just ignore him?

I'll be boo-ing respectfully, PatsFansSince74 ;)

has Dan Shaugnessy joined Pats Fans?

Shagnasty would love this thread topic and probably have a front page column about this any moment now.

I bet he goes unnoticed. Plus, it's not like his name will get announced at any point.

Well first of all I thought he was like baggin groceries now.

But anyway I find it a little creepy that the architects of 2 of the worst days in Pats history are playing us back to back.

Special teams eh? I can see Ghost kicking it deep and it keeps landing on his head and getting stuck there and the Pats can't see who has it and him getting like 5TDs.

Normally, I mean, he made one of the craziest cathes ever, thats why hes paid for, what do you wanted him to do??
It sucked it was on us, we wouldn't happen if we actually sacked Eli, and he isn't very strong

Booing a guy because he made a great catch ? I guess I now understand the mentality of certain NE fans.

He prob will not have any catches.....but what if he has another huge one??

Easy. Heard plenty of boos when Matt Stover attempted kicks for the Colts this year.

Careful about pretending to be a better fan base because you are not.

I respect him. He is the Giants JR Redmond. We never would have won the 1st SB without JR and I will never forget that.

There is a certain level of respect with booing. Tyree knows what his catch did to this fanbase. I don't see a problem with it. If fans start swearing at the guy or throwing things at him, maybe they need to figure out who they are actually really mad at.

Larry Bird got booed every time he walked into The Forum in LA, The Spectrum in Philly or the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit. Big deal.

Throw things at his helmet and record how many he actually catches. That would suffice my curiosity if he is actually skillful enough to pull of "that play" again.

i hope nothing. he didn't do anything except make a great catch that helped his team win. that's what he's supposed to do.

With silence and ignorance. I do not know who David Tyree is and don't care to get to know him.

Then they were idiots too, Stovie wanted to come back to Baltimore. The Ravens were "looking to the future" and said no thanks. ;)

They should throw rose pedals and flowers at his feet when he walks out of the tunnel.

We did, the ref didn't call it.

And if you don't believe me go look up when the exact same play happened to Cassel vs Miami the very next year.
