Per NFL Network.

Think we ought to bring him here? We have plenty of picks to trade with.

I wouldn't trade much for a returner no matter how good he is

He wants a big deal. He doesnt bring enough to the table to justify the bread he is looking for. Not for this team anyway.

Can he learn how to play wide receiver?

Nah, we already got our own Kent State QB at WR :)
Although, the versatility is tempting, with his play as WR, Wildcat QB, returner, and on the coverage team. He did have 3 ST TDs and 9 ST tackles last season...

Are you guys serious? Why wouldnt you want a player of his caliber if he can be had?

ST's ACE!!! WR and RB who can also take snaps from center.

How many of you love Kevin faulk again?

I guess no one saw highlights of Cribbs against the Jags last week.

He was a factor in just about every phase of the Browns offense.

Those who don't want a hard nosed player who does it for a team hard and consistent and a team that was not going anywhere is ******ed IMO,Cribbs would be more than just STs here..guaranteed

He likely want lots of money. We won't pay that for a receiver and Special teamer. Besides, Cleveland isn't likely to let him go.

Well, we know he can return kicks, but how is he as a WR? I honestly don't watch their team enough to know. I would imagine he's pulling a 'Hester', and wants a ton of money, which BB would unlikely give him.

Seems like all he is asking for is about 2.5 to maybe 3-3.5 million a year, doesnt seem too much considering he is the best return man in the game, and could also play spot dute as a HB and WR.

No question he would help this team. Question is, where do you want to spend that money? G? OLB? A more proven WR?

A STer like Cribbs would be an immense boost to this team, but would he have as big an impact as a WR as other FA's/draftees? I could really see how 2-3 million/year would be a fair price, though.

Even Welker didn't help the Dolphins as much as Cribbs helps the Browns :D

Exactly.

The Browns are low-balling him (they've apparently offered him a $1.5M take it or leave it deal) - we should be straight in there.

The effect he'd have on the starting field position, and even in the passing game would be well worth the money. The Pats would find a way for him to be effective.

Go get him Billy boy!

The Patriots are not going to trade for him, not when they already have a guy on the roster who can do what he does.

Are people forgetting about Brandon Tate already? He was only one of the best NCAA returners and who has shown that he can be a good returner in his short time active with the team.

If he's only looking for 2.5-3.5 its a steel. Saw him against Steelers and he did everything for them. Returns were awsome. Got 80 yards from carries (7) and contributed and 40-50 yard from catches. And he's had that sort of game 4-5 times this season.

A no brainer for that amount of cash.

3M a year for the best return man in the game today? Yes please. Will the Browns take a 3rd round pick for him?

I don't think people are forgetting, but we havent seen Tate do anything yet. Next year, he'll still be basically a rookie, who has knee issues. Im hoping he is as advertised, but im not assuming anything until he hits the field.

I would doubt they would, but even i would say heck yeah to that trade.

I'm weary of giving big money to ANY kick returner who hasn't proven himself as a consistent weapon on offense. Remember Dante Hall? He was an electrifying return man for the Chiefs, then got paid his big payday, and didn't live up to it.

I'm not saying Cribbs doesn't deserve his pay raise (he certainly does), and yeah, it'd be great to have him here, but I'd rather the Pats not be the ones to foot the bill for a KR.
