Dear Friends, Fans, and Family,

I am writing you today to let you know how thankful I am for everyone's support through this trying time. Your phone calls, texts, emails, and letters are greatly appreciated. I thank God for the people that He has put in my life to help me overcome this obstacle that has been placed in front of me. Your thoughts and prayers are truly felt and will help me to a speedy recovery.

My good friend Tedy Bruschi said to me the other day "there is no career without a comeback." Although, I know that it will take time to be the same player that I once was. I am ready to face that challenge, and in time, I plan on coming back the player I was and much more. This is not the first time that I have faced adversity in my career, and it won't be the last. I am committed to this football team and doing everything possible to make us better. My teammates know my commitment to them, and I refuse to let them down. Just how I know that they wouldn't let me down. They are here for me, just like I am there for them. Even though I won't be on the field this post season, my heart will be with them through every snap!

I will continue to keep everyone informed on my status, and I thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers.

God Bless,

Wes

Thanks for posting that. I like Bruschi's line.

Someone find me a wall to run through for that guy!

Yeah... me too... Welker is the classic Patriot, all for the team, placing himself below everyone else.

God Bless him and his family, and I look forward to seeing him again next year!

<~~Wes Luv I love Bru's comment.

You the man, Wes.

I think I speak for everyone when I say not only is Welker is the ideal Patriot but hes a good down to earth person. Here's to a quick and successful recovery Wes!

Only Brady has made such an impact and close relationship and loving bond with teammates and fans as fast as Wes has done in 2 seasons.

Even today I scratch my head at how Miami did not see any of this guy's talent coming out...what idiots they were, thank god Parcells didn't get there earlier,no way would he have let him go.

Good to see he sounds like a good person on top of being a football god. If my floor wasn't carpeted I'd be pourin one for Wes a-la fitzy.... May your recovery be fast and smooth Wes!

Great to hear from him so soon. I wonder if Welker would give the team a pre-game speech on saturday night or sunday morning a la what Seau often does.

Wes wish you the best of luck in your recovery. You are one of leagues best wide recievers.

"Um, you guys need to, um, go out there and, um, play your, um, asses off, um, and beat that, um, other, um, team."

I love Wes Welker, but he's no great public speaker. At least not on TV.

Good to hear that Wes is looking forward to rehabbing. And, while the tags on the posts might have been pissing me off lately, I just have to say "LMFAO!" at the tag on this one. Whoever did that... good call.

Not enough "Ya know"s. :p

At least he doesn't record a message and autodial it to Pats season ticket holders.
