With the new hiring of Mike Shanahan in DC that now makes 7 HC the teams has had since 2000. The Pats have had one (BB) while the Redskins have had seven (Norv Turner 1999-2000, Terry Robiskie 2000, Marty Schottenheimer 2001, Steve Spurrier 2002-03, Joe Gibbs 2004-07, Jim Zorn 2008-09, Mike Shanahan 2010-?) none lasting more than 3 seasons. While I think Snyder tries to win he is a moron. Got me to thinking about who is the worst owner in the NFL.
Dan Snyder (Redskins) - loves to get big name free agents that almost always fail to live up to the hype. No stability at all in the coaching department as stated above.
William Clay Ford (Lions) Winning seasons in the 2000s - 1 and that was 9-7 in 2000. Vikings won 12 games this year while the lions won 12 combined in the last 4 years (2, 0, 7 and 3). Goes through HC fast (7 in the 2000s) but held onto Matt Millen at GM for WAY TOO LONG.
Al Davis (Raiders) - May favorite owner. Team was great under Gruden in the late 90s/early 00s going 38-26 in his 4 years in Oakland. So Davis trades/sells Gruden to the Bucs over a 'power struggle'. F Gruden Davis gets two first-round picks, two second-round picks and $8 million in cash. The year after Gruden left the team went 11-5, went to the SB and lost to Gruden and the Bucs. Since then the raiders have had seven consecutive seasons of 5 or less wins. With all of those draft picks (as well as the top 10 picks the Raiders have had this decade) the team should be stacked. Name great players on the team. If you could have anyone off the Raiders but had to pay him franchise money who would you take. CB Nnamdi Asomugha. Maybe Seymour or Janikowski. That it.
Those team are the Pats of the early 90s. Thank God for Mr Kraft.
