According to PFT.com, every Raider was in attendance for the season ending meeting except for Jamarcus Russell and Richard Seymour. I hope the Raiders enjoyed their 5 wins and Richard's 4 sacks. Oh by the way, thanks for the first round pick, good luck with the Seymour holdout !

( and congratulations on the 5 -11 playoff prediction big Sey !)

Thats because both won't be there next season..they don't care and why should they show up when they won't be a Raider in 2010?,they owe Davis nothing.

I feel bad for Seymour...poor guy got traded from the best franchise in the NFL to the worst...I'm sure Seymour was thinking..."WTF do you want to talk about? How bad we are and how bad we're going to be next year?"

Sounds about right to me.

Re: Seymour blow off team meeting !

Seymour was excused as was Russell.

But Russell was later found to be in Vegas.

That team is a quarterback away from playoff contention. Unfortunately for that team and its fans, rumors are that Davis wants to stick with Russell.

I'll bet he plays craps...like he does in the NFL

Could you provide a link? The PFT.com article said Russell was excused for personal reasons but offers no explanation for Seymours absence.

And now there's rumors that Davis is going to fire Cable...

what would that make it in Oakland...5 HC's in 6 years?

Turmoil in Oakland, all good news for our 2011 1st rounder.

Seymour left early so he could catch a flight and see his old team play next weekend and remember what a playoff team looks like :) - He must be biting at the bit after missing the playoffs 2 years in a row

Yeah.... I didn't watch enough of their games to get a feel for the job Crable was doing. However, in the games I did watch, the QB position was an absolute killer for that team. For goodness' sakes, that offense ran better with Gradkowski and Frye, and those two aren't exactly going to terrorize the NFL.

They each owe Davis their 2009 salary. Russell owes him a lot more which he may collect in part from some other sucker if anyone is even interested in this numbskull who could care less. Davis will tag Seymour and trade him if he's not foolish enough to re-sign him. In either case each remains the contractual property of the Oakland Raiders through March of 2010 or beyond.

Future buyers beware.

Re: Seymour blow off team meeting !

Richard's just being a "man" as he so endlessly reminds everyone because it's apparently not self evident to the rest of the world. ;)

Man how crazy would it be if Seymour ended up back with the Pats next season and we still end up with Oaklands likely top ten pick!

But they owe it to their teammates to be there.
