IN AFC: Just herd him on ESPN...Talking about how the last 4 SB winners came from wildcard weekend...he is picking the Jets and Pats with the Jets having a better chance at reaching the SB...Like he said..Welker injury is huge.

I really wish they were to play the Colts if they win this weekend over the Chargers

Jets have a legit D, no doubt, but the Patriots rolled over that team last they played and made Sanchez look like crap. Does Bruschi really think that no other team in the playoffs can do that?

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

I think Tedy still suffering some after effects of concussions.

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

Jest aren't winning with Sanchez at QB. I expect them to lose at Cincy this week, their oppionent won't be intentionally losing like Cincy did last week.

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

In no position to say this but Tedy is way off base on this one.

Rookie QBs don't make it to the SB.

given what we know about concussions now, that's not funny. sorry.

Oh no you didn't find my attempt a humor funny. I'm gonna cry now...

The problem with this theory is that the Jets will most likely have to air the ball out against either Indy or the Chargers. That means they gotta hope that Sanchez doesn't make mistakes. Based on his performance past week 3, that is not a safe bet.

If they can keep games close and pound the ball, they have a shot. Their defense will have zero margin for error though. Otherwise, Sanchez will probably have two to four picks especially against two agressive pass rushing defenses. Even without the a strong pass rush, the Pats forced Sanchez to turn over the the ball five times the last time they met.

wow, this is twice in a week where two otherwise rational folks in the Boston sports world have fallen victim to the "story or bust" culture at HSPN. First, Reiss tries to stir up a controversy over BB's use of Hoyer on Sunday and now this from the Brewmeister...definitely fighting for air time there!

Sure, anything pro-Pats is well-reasoned analysis, anything against them is stirring up controversy & trying to get airtime. Whether Bruschi or Reiss are right or wrong, I guarantee you they're not saying anything they don't believe.

Et tu, Bru? :(

Shock effect. ESPN loved it... they were almost glowing with jubilation during the build up.

Gotta look beyond the pom-pom waving that goes on here, Pujo and the larger scope of what the Jets need to accomplish, against who, and what history tells us.

Cinci is weakened. Jets could win that game. Point for Bru.

SD and Indy can be run on. Jets have a good running game. Point for Bru.

Jets have an outstanding pass defense which could slow down the SD and Indy passing games. Point for Bru.

So it comes down to the Jet's Qb play. As it was stated earlier, if Sanchez can make some 3rd downs and not turn the ball over, Jets can beat anyone.
The problem is that lately, he has shown very little in being able to do that consistiently. That, amongst other things is why no rookie QB has stated a SB game.

Tedy works for ESPN now. Like BB always taught him he's just doing his job.

I didn't watch much of the JETS Bungles debaucle but I think their points came on ST and gadget plays and off turnovers... Won't see nearly as much of that in the playoffs, at least not once the wildcard round is past, except from the losing teams.

Tedy and also Rodney are still struggling to eliminate the emotional component from their analysis, and it tends to impact their analysis of this season and this team even moreso than others. That will only come with distance (from their playing days).

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

Hmmm...they are running the ball really well and they have the #1 defense...sounds like playoff football to me.

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

Bulletin board material for the Patriots locker room coming from Bruschi. Weird. I love Tedy's insight but it's hard sometimes hearing him say stuff like this. You know he's still rooting for the Pats but he can't make it that obvious.

But I can't say I disagree entirely, defense wins championships, right?

Re: Bruschi: Jets most likely team from this weekend that can make superbowl

Two words for Tedy, "NO WAY".

Defense does win championships... but Rookie QBs do not.

Yes, but solid QB play wins championships too. Converting 3rd downs, no critical turnovers, making plays when plays need to be made. Team don't win SB with disasters at the QB position. They may get lucky during one game- but four? Not gonna happen.

You can make a case that of all the playoff teams this year, he is the worst at every single one of those attributes.
