Ravens players talking already

Pees' plan ultimately worked in the first game. The defense only gave up 17 points and might have been less if not for the big Ray Rice run which was a big mistake by one of our LB's or safeties and shouldn't have happened. I'll take 17 PA against this offense any day.

If Ray Rice only breaks one big run next Sunday, I think the Patriots will be in pretty good shape.

I agree with Metaphors, the key for the Pats on defense is to shut down Rice; other then Chris Johnson I'd say he's the best RB in the NFL. Mason's stats from the first game looked good, but the Pats made adjustments with their coverages and he was pretty much invisible for the rest of that game till that dropped pass at the end.

On offense Asomugha is very good, so it will be up to Edelman to have another solid game, as well as a few key catches from the tight ends. The running backs will need to find a way to get it done both rushing and receiving against a very good run defense.

Should be another good, close game. Both teams (and their fans) have reasons to be optimistic.

Clayton was the one whor dropped the final Ravens pass.

Even though they had less than spectacular years I think Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson would be my choices over Rice although he is mighty good, reminds me of a slightly better verision of MJD a lot.

What is pissing me off already is Dean Pees is so dumb that he will decide to let Mason run free all over the field instead of doing what the Raiders did, take him out of the game only to see Flacco have less then 100 yards passing going into the 4th qrtr. Pees is all about "we do what we do" (even when it's not working). Has it ever dawned on him to use something other teams have used that actually works?

Did you not watch the regular season game? Because that's exactly what the Pats did: after the first possession, Mason was a nonfactor for the rest of the game, just as he'll be a nonfactor in this one. The Ravens can talk all they want- at the end of the day, the fact is that we're going to beat them, and beat them handily. The Ravens and the Jets are both weak playoff teams, and I have full confidence in the Pats to pick either one of them apart.

The Ravens defensive weakness is in their secondary. Simple as that. They a mediocre bunch back there. The losses of Lardarius Webb (their best cover corner) and Fabian Washington really hurt them. Charlie Frye was throwing it well on them before he was taken out. Just some food for thought there.

I wouldn't be surprised if we came out in the 4-3 like we did in the last meeting. Wright and Wilfork were in Flacco's face all day and that kept the Raven's offense at bay for most of the game. Hopefully Meriweather plays as well on Sunday as he did in the regular season matchup.

I hope the Pats rest Dean Pees for this game. They should rest Pees on purpose. :)
