Might help us if we get that far...

We need Jesus to be a wide receiver to beat the Chargers at this point,Charger injuries aside they still are dominant over anything we throw at them.

Based on what?

Media spin. Same thing that had McNabb already reserving his suite in Miami last week. Chargers have been hot, but not without weaknesses this season. They can be run on for one.

Yet they've managed to win 10 in a row, nonetheless, no easy feat in itself.

We better run if we meet them because Moss will not be roaming free all that much against that secondary

All this San Diego talk is making think back 2006 when they were supposedly going to "kick our ass" because we had no offense etc...

We had Harrison,Vrabel,Bruschi and all the old boys back then who KNEW how to win big games...If looking back to the past keeps you happy then more power to you,This years defense does not know HOW TO WIN big games and BB just does not have those gameplans to stop elite teams anymore, its been proven quite often in 2009.

In time they will. As Russell says, mental toughness is a learned trait, not a talent.

Yes, with a few nice wins to boot. But they didn't exactly play murderers row.

Here is a post of mine from few weeks ago since then they destroyed a lackluster looking Ten team, should have at a minimum gone into OT, if the refs didn't blow an illegal substitution call against Cincy - and beat a demoralized Washington team.

I don't understand the love affair with a team that has won 8 games in a row vs teams with a combined 45-59 record. They played the Giants while they were struggling, they played the Chris Simms / hobbled Orton led Broncos. KC twice, Oak and cleveland. They had quality wins over Philly and Dallas. But Dallas really shot themselves in the foot.

I guess I'm one of the few on here that isn't impressed with them. Especially their defense.

I still don't get it.

You could say that about the offense as well? Not living in the past I actually posted the Chargers defensive rankings in another thread. I just find the love affair with the Chargers humerous. Can they beat us? Sure. Are they a slam dunk? Hell no!

The Chargers beating us is of course not a slam dunk because no game is a sure thing due to the fact that there could be turnovers, without Welker it may not be a slam dunk win for SD but the ball is bouncing off the backboard and rolling around the rim.

I think it's 11 in a row, see below, nonetheless I feel very strongly that neither the Chargers or Colts are invincible. Every team has it's warts in the AFC this season and any team can be had. It's going to be exciting to see what unfolds.

But in your previous post you specifically pointed out the defense. Which one will cost us the game, the defense or missing Welker?

I could argue with relative ease that the offense is the unit to blame for every second half loss / blown lead this season.

The Chargers' run game is BRUTAL. Only 4 teams are below 4.0 YPC in the league and the Chargers are last, a shocking 3.3 YPC. Now, let's say Jackson is hurting in their next game . . . well, you do the math. For now, I'm concerned only about Baltimore but I can't see people thinking the Chargers are that dominant compared to us.

I thought we matched up well with the Chargers before. Now? Not so much. Taking Welker out really hurts our passing game. In the end, in order to beat them, we're going to have to really rely on the running game. If we can run the ball successfully and eat up the T.O.P. then we should be in good shape. They also do not have much of a running game outside of 1 yard TD runs by Tomlinson. I still think we'll lose, but we have a better shot against them than probably anybody else in the playoffs.

Good news! Can they get shorter and slower too?

Exactly. The Patriots don't have any more of those guys that us fans have loved on the defense, the ones that made big plays in big games. I sorta knew that sooner or later that Belichick would harm this team by shipping out these guys only for younger inexperienced guys that have cost us at least 6 games this season.

You do realize that this statement makes absolutely no sense, right?
