Re: BB on WEEI

also means that he didnt care about yesterday's game as much. normally after a loss is he pissed. infact the hosts asked him that he seems to have a bounce in his step today....

Yeah that is a good point, but its weird because I think in his postgame PC yesterday he was very pissed off. Probably second most all year besides after the Colts game

Re: BB on WEEI

fact is, if BB was actually concerned about the field, he should have sat the starters....at least the skill guys.......and when the commish would come a calling, then lay into the field......now its kinda too late

Agree 100%. For a guy who's supposed to always be a step ahead of the curve, he sure isn't looking so smart right now.

While he said it was a concern I dont think he thought it would be that bad to cause such a freak injury which happened to Welker. If it was that bad we would have heard more players talk about it including some of Houstons.

only seems obvious in hindsight

Re: BB on WEEI

Just lookin through other fan sites I noticed some Colt fans thought the same thing, they said they lost someone (can't remember who) down there last year because of the crappy turf.

wish one of the hosts asked him that question.but i guess someone had to play since you have to dress 45 guys..

Re: BB on WEEI

That's the only thing 90% of this forum seems to operate in nowadays.

Though I don't have any posts to prove it, I was thinking the following players wouldn't have seen the field at all yesterday - Brady, Moss, Welker, Faulk, Neal, Mayo, Merriweather, Wilfork, Warren.

That's 9... And if we lost Taylor or Morris or Sanders or McGowan or Bodden or Springs or Wright or Banta-Cain or Light or Neal or Vollmer or Koppen or Mankins fronting the backups there would have been the same hindsight second guessing games going on today. Not to mention if we still lost in the playoffs they'd be blaming it on Bill laying down with a an inconsistent team that still struggling to form an identity...

Sitting the players in 'meaningless' games is the same thing that's done in game 4 of the preseason, and for many of the same reasons. The only difference is that 53 spots means fewer players get that rest during a regular season situation.

It's not "hindsight". It's been discussed time and again. Some people may have a different take on the situation, but the "hindsight" assertion is just not valid. There were clearly enough receivers available to keep Welker on the Bench.

curran and other reporting it and now BB is being called a hypocrite for not complaining about the field after they won the SB on the same turf ...

How do they know he hasn't... Vinatieri wasn't too fond of that field as I recall...But unless Polian complains nothing much happens in this league. So maybe that field somehow favors geldings...

well, first of all that was five years ago and second, we don't know if he did complain, but privately.

Oh, please. Perhaps the field was prepared a bit better for the SB.

Re: BB on WEEI

One comment I thought was strange is when Glen asked him if Moroney was a healthy scratch. He replied yes, we dressed the guys that wanted to play. Struck me as a strange thing for him to say.

It's the same non-response he always gives to this question. Edit: You must have heard him wrong - he must have said "we dressed the guys that WE wanted to play". I think it's obvious that he didn't mean to imply that some guys wanted to play and some didnt.

Re: BB on WEEI

"Who has been more wrong than charlie casserly ? He is like a meteorologist". he sounds quite chippy today

He cracked me up when he went off on Casserly as he did......he was referring to Casserly putting out the information of brady having 3 cracked ribs and said he is 100% WRONG......said charlie has no affiliation with anyone from the organization and could not possibly have that information because it simply isnt true.

The only credit he gave casserly was that at least he used his own name unlike most of the rumor spreaders.

Re: BB on WEEI

Very interesting, wonder if Goodell will remain silent on this???

Probably not. A $250,000 fine and a six week suspension is probably coming from Goodell. This outrage shall not go unpunished.
