Rodney thinks pats should be more comfortable playing SD who they have beaten in the playoffs and reg season recently than IND. Dungy thinks BB had an ulterior motive to remove brady from the 2 min drill in the end because he wants to go to indianapolis. He doesnt explain why brady played at all then .

They re-seed. I'd buy tanking a game to get a guaranteed opponent in the next round (a la the Jacksonville situation in 2005).

But if you try to do it for a 2nd round opponent, what happens if the 6 seed wins? They the 4 seed is off to play the 2 seed anyway. And you're brilliant plan goes up in smoke.

With all due respect to Rodney, I think the Pats might have a better chance of beating Indy. But I'm not that confident that we can beat either team. Lets see if our guys can get there first.

yeah .iamnot sure about the home game against the ravens either without welker.

Belichick doesn't think like that. He pulled Brady out for both 2 minute drils.

Belichick likely decided seeding was worth a shot but wasn't worth OT. I don't think he played for seeding, either, since facing Indy first likely meant facing SD after a potentially emotionally draining rematch. I think he played for consistent execution, which this offense needed regardless of who we face and particularly on the road, and after losing Welker he played for more game conditions reps with Brady and Edleman because those can't be replicated in practice or with Hoyer throwing to Edleman

All this talk about WRs. If this team does not learn how to run the ball, their chances of advancing in the playoffs are slim. They rely on the pass to much.

I think we run the ball pretty well!
WE have 4 good runners, not elite runners, but good, in Taylor Morris Faulk Maroney, all with different styles of playing

Then why don't they commit to it? I have seen them give up on it far to much.

The playoffs are different, they'll get motivation and give it all, they must, because if they don't, we're going home.
I believe they will take care of business, not against the ravens, beacause they are good against the run, but through the whole playoffs(if we get there)

Great question but your criticism should be against the playcalling and not against the players IMO. Think you will find many posts on our board wondering why the playcalling keeps switching to pass even when the RBs are doing a good job.

With Welker out, I guess we could expect to see our RBs a lot more than we did during the regular season.

I guess you haven't watched that many games this season to make such a statement about the Patriots running game.

Truth be told, if we really wanted to, we could have blown the Texans apart at any stage I felt. Getting the Steelers out of the equation was worthwhile enough to "lose" this game.

No doubt in my mind we matchup better with Indy. Yes they beat us, but they shouldn't have. We pretty much walked into Indy and dominated them for 55 minutes. Maroney fumbling at the goaline when we are going in for the kill is where it all began to fall apart. I fear SD a lot more.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Gotta take care of business vs. a tough Baltimore team first. Let's go.

Ask Brady.. He's the one who audibles out of the run more often than not..

I think Rodney wont last long with NBC .

I love that Rodney speaks his mind and isn't afraid to rip anyone, even BB on the 4th and 2 call. I like his analysis of things, and at the least he's something better to look at than that alien Tony Dungy.

He [Rodney] got into a huge argument with the other host today, outside of SNF.

The other guy (I'm bad with names ) Asked Dungy and Rodney to predict an upset next week, and Dungy said that he thinks that the Cardinals will upset GB. He asked Rodney and Rodney said there would be no upsets, because the Cardinals are a better team. The dude whos name is escaping me, said what about Baltimore over NE, and with the type of fire that I wish our current players had, he just said quite dramatically that the Patriots would beat Baltimore, causing enough of a tiff for them to say "Rodney I need to talk to you" and them cutting to commercial.
