Surprised by Maroney.

Surprised by the O-Linemen and Wheatley.

Everyone else, not really.

Re: Pats Inactives: Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wilfork, Wheatley, Ohrnbergr, Wen

What was the point of releasing Titus Adams to make room for Wendell? I figured Wendell was signed in order to give someone on the line like Neal the game off today.

I'm surprised that Maroney is inactive...

Thin at CB against a passing team. Not that it matters, although I would have liked to have them stick Wheatley in and see how he does.

Re: Pats Inactives: Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wilfork, Wheatley, Ohrnbergr, Wen

So is this a "Maroney back in the doghouse" move or a "Maroney resting and getting Fred Taylor some game time" move?

BB probably wanted to reward Wendell by promoting him to the 53

man roster. Unfortunately, he miscalculated and lost Adams in the

process.

I'm surprised that Maroney is inactive...

I would have been more surprised if Maroney were the only RB resting, but he and Faulk have been active for pretty much every game this season, so I can sort of understand it.

Re: Pats Inactives: Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wilfork, Wheatley, Ohrnbergr, Wen

So i wheatley basically a write off at this point? Guy cant be active in a meaningless game. pretty dissappointing

Yes, this isn't a good sign.

Re: Pats Inactives: Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wilfork, Wheatley, Ohrnbergr, Wen

You can't put rookie OL in there when you want to play your QB.

Unfortunately, OL is one place where the starters will not get any rest, and this probably impacts Koppen and Mankins more than the others who did nt play a full season.

Kaczur starting over Vollmer? Please God, no. Not if TB's back there.

Re: Pats Inactives: Bodden, Faulk, Maroney, Warren, Wilfork, Wheatley, Ohrnbergr, Wen

Maroney has been getting most of the carries. I would hope Bill isn't being dumb and benching a guy who has played his butt off after a freaking fumble. Yes the fumbles are getting ridiculous, but Maroney has been big for us, to cut off momentum for him would be foolish.

I'm hoping this is to rest him and get Taylor going.

I think it's just a rest..

Pats1's starters are educated guesses only.

Kevin Faulk used to be Mr. Fumbles earlier in his career, too. Heck, even the mighty Adrian Peterson is having a few ball control issues.

He's a cursed 2nd round pick. Pats haven't done that well with most 2nd rounders since The Effing Twig was picked.

Phew. I was sweating for a minute. Starting Kaczur and having Brady get creamed for the playoffs would not be smart.

Now, if TB goes out in the 2nd half, then resting the starters and giving guys like Kaczur some PT is a different matter.

Right, but remember that Kaczur started over Vollmer when they were both healthy.

Did they have a nack for fumbling on the 1 yard line?
