Peyton will be freezing his butt off in Buffalo

10 degrees, stiff wind, -9 degrees "real feel" (i.e. wind chill), some snow.

Good luck Peyton.

Re: OT: Week 17 1 PM games thread

Steelers @ Dolphins.

Woodley will eat his words when his team doesn't take care of business and LOSES to Miami. :D

Jags @ Cleveland. Go Cleveland for Jags 7-9= pick 12-15 in second round.
This is important because that is an area where you can have slipping 1st round talent. (OLB, Toby Gerhart :D)

IND@ BUF= 14-2 may be best record in NFL, but how does 0-2 help your team out?

NO@CAR= IDC. Go Carolina?

Pats @ Houston= Don't lay down the peddle, 11-5!

NYG@MIN=Go Giants. Epic Farve collapse which makes them #4 seed.

SF@STL= IDFC.

ATL@TB= IDFC.

CHI@DET= IDFC.

Does Carolina beating the Stains bolster the Pats strength of schedule?

You mean the Strength of Victory tiebreaker? In that case it would since we beat Carolina. If the Saints win it won't help us because we didn't beat them.

I wonder if it will be anywhere near as windy as it was when the Pats played the Bills last year.

If that happens, Polian will probably legislate against any future late-season games being played in Buffalo.

I was at that game. 70 mph winds but the temperature was 50 degrees in late December.

I just saw the Peyton Manning "OMG it's cold!" Face.

You too might remember this face from the 2004 playoffs.

Re: OT: Week 17 1 PM games thread

Well, it sure didn't take long for Peyton to throw his first pick. Just more evidence of how good Peyton has it in a dome.

Re: OT: Week 17 1 PM games thread

the Giants have flat out quit

OT: Other games round the NFL

-In particular the Colts are laying down hard to the Jets 24-7.

-New Orleans looking at losing 3 straight to end the season? down 17-3 to Carolina.

-Minny taking it hard to the Giants 31-0. That team could get hot fast and nobody wants to face em early in the playoffs. Giants defense fallen apart??

-Pitt keeping their playoff hopes alive, leading 17-10 over Miami. If Pats and Bengals win and Pitt wins, then they are in.

Re: OT: Week 17 1 PM games thread

Did anybody figure out why Henne was taken out??

Re: OT: Week 17 1 PM games thread

So are the Steelers officially eliminated with the Pats loss to the Texans?

They can still get in if Baltimore AND Jets lose

No, the Squealers still need Denver to lose as well since Denv takes the WC if BAL and JETS lose and HOUSTON takes the other WC

OT: Titans vs. Seahawks

CJ now now needs 102 yard to break 2000.

Edit: Now 99 yards.

OT: OAK vs. BAL

By my understanding, if Oak and Jets loses, we get Pittsburgh next week, and if Ravs win, we get either Jets or Ravs next week, pending outcome of tonight's game.

If Oakland and the Jets lose, but Denver wins, we get Denver.

Oh, BTW... with Minnesota winning, our first playoff match-up is virtually set.

Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals.

Unless PHI/DAL is a tie and Arizona wins then it would be the Cards and Cowboys.

So, in back-to-back weeks, the Packers will meet the Cardinals.
