BENGALS-JETS GAME MOVED TO SUNDAY NIGHT

Next Sunday's Bengals game at the New York Jets has been moved from a 1 p.m. EST kickoff to 8:30 p.m. EST and will be aired nationally on NBC's Sunday Night Football, the NFL announced tonight.

The game will mark the Bengals' second regular-season appearance on Sunday Night Football since the series moved to NBC in 2006. On Dec. 2, 2007, Cincinnati lost 24-10 to Pittsburgh at Heinz Field. The Bengals played a Sunday night NBC game in preseason in 2006, defeating Washington 19-3 at Paul Brown Stadium.

If I were a Jets fan *cringe* I'd be rootin for the Pats to win so the Bengals would have nothing to play for next week.

Re: Bengals vs. Jets game moved to primetime

if the Pats win, the Bengals have zero to play for - meaning the Jets could, for the 2nd week in a row, get an opponent who quits on them to rest for the playoffs

I think the Bengals will play most of the starters regardless of whether they need the win because of the weak play of the past few weeks and they need some work heading into the postseason.

Hmmmm let me see.

1. The Jets needed everyone and they're mother to lose for them to control their destiny in week 17.

2. The Jets needed a prayer or a gutless franchise not wanting greatness to beat the 14-0 Colts. It happened.

3. The Jets are at home on a primetime game in front of a national audience.

I smell the typicals JEST collapse. :D

Nice theory, but the Jets control their own destiny in week 17. They win and they're in. It's as simple as that. I think your thinking of the Dolphins who need all of that luck to get into the playoffs.

As for the game itself, I actually want the Jets to win. I'd like nothing better than to get the Jets at home for a first round game.
