So,
Will Indy's loss change the way the Refs yank the flags at the slightest indication that Indy might be in the slightest bit of trouble in a game?

They were NFL's darlings so long as they were matching / erasing the Pats record from the short term memory. Now that is no longer possible; maybe now they have to play an even 11-11 matchup instead of 14-11. ;)

as long as the colts are playing , the ref's will make their presence felt. beleibe dat.

Yup. I've been around the game too long not to notice the calls that always seem to go the Colts way, especially when they are playing against the Patriots.

I was shocked that the refs didn't have a Polian amendment that would have enabled them to overturn the fumble TD challenge. After all, he was intending to pass the ball, so even though his arm wasn't going forward, shouldn't that count?

Have no fear, the refs will "raise their game" for Indy in the playoffs. Always do.

How you can have the best Pro league out there with 2nd class officiating and not be unhappy about it if you're the NFL's management is beyond me.

The one thing that's always got me is how there are so few offensive holding calls on the dolts. You see them watching the game, but somehow the refs miss them every time....and people wonder why Manning never gets hit.

Have you ever seen the Colts get a PI call against them? The team who cries the most about any contact routinely mugs other teams' receivers. Yet don't even breathe on their receivers or it's an instant flag especially if they are behind. And that's against every team not just the Pats!

Actually, when they pulled the starters I imagined it came about like this

Goodell- Listen Bill(Polian) we only can guarantee you a few more wins with the help of the officials, it's starting to get obvious. This alliance we built through our hatred of the Patriots can only go so far. Maybe if you pull your starters we can use the officials when you need them.
Polian-What are you saying, I make the rules!
Goodell- That is true, but we have to make it look good. So rest your guys, and we won't use up any more phony calls until the playoffs. Remember the Hobbs PI you got, when we overlooked your db tackling Caldwell in the end zone, or Polamalu's interception that we overturned, those should be saved for the playoffs.
Polian-maybe your right, we would have lost to the Patriots this year if it wasn't for that phantom pi penalty and the ridiculous spot on the 4th and 2, maybe we should save them kind of like timeouts and challenges. But Rodger are you sure you're just not shilling for a NY team again?
Goodell-Well, don't we both hate the Patriots? To think BB didn't want to coach here, I'll show him, he's like Jason from Friday the 13th I just can't kill him!
Polian-OK, I see what you mean, but you owe me at least 6 game changing calls during the course of the playoffs!
Goodell-I couldn't imagine it any other way.
