They all think we are going to lose on purpose next week because we don't want them in the playoffs.
Like they are better than the Chargers and Colts and.... who also lost to the browns, raiders, bears, chiefs this year.

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

Anyone got Tracy Palmer's number?

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

Now they all have to replace their Bernard Pollard Fan Club shirts with these...

We are going to lose on purpose because we might play the Texans in the 1st round and don't want to show them anything :)

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

I'm looking forward to seeing how much Mr. Hoyer has learned this season, and I'd like to see him in the game after the first offensive series.

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

They better pray Brady never saw that Bernard Pollard Fan Club shirt made by those idiot scumbags. That is, if Brady even steps on the field at all (HA HA HAAAAA)

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

The Patriots have earned the right to do whatever they choose to.

Truth is the Steelers are defending world champions and have a damn good offense and if Troy P. comes back they are a tough out.

That being said, I am quite sure the Patriots will play their starters and try to win the game.

If I were the Pats, I would seriously consider not playing the starters and just seeing how it goes, with an eye on the fact that I don't really care who I face in the first playoff game (I think we can beat any of the teams left at home), but I would much rather go to Indy for the 2nd game than San Diego (I am reversing what I said last week). That would be the reason to "throw" the game, not any fear of the Squealers. Of course, they would never believe that.

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

Surprised they aren't calling the Colts chickens for rolling over vs the Jets, and thus giving them a better chance to make the playoffs than the Steelers and potentially not have to play Pittsburgh.

Re: LOL @ Squeelers

I hope your team doesn't try to win next week. The one team that worries me the most is the Steelers; they just seem to have our number. On the other hand, we've beaten the Colts 4 out of the last 5 times we've played them, not to mention that we've knocked them out of the playoffs two years in a row, so I'm not worried about them at all, especially since they're looking very weak right now.

The Patriots also don't look that strong to me, so if they have to come to San Diego, I won't be as worried since I believe that you don't have the defense to stop our offense, whereas our defense will limit your passing game to a certain extent. So, please do us Charger fans a favor by losing on purpose next week. It's probably better for you guys anyways, since if you go in as the 4th seed, you'd have to play the Colts and historically you have their number in the playoffs, not to mention you should have beat them earlier this season.

So, you'd probably end up in the AFC championship against the Chargers after knocking out the Colts, and if you fail at it, then we'll knock them out of the playoffs for you guys; better than letting Manning have another ring.

When was the last time the Patriots lost to the Chargers in the Playoffs? :D

I recall a 2006 (I believe) playoff game that the Patriots were supposed to be outmatched and had no right to win (they were definitely outplayed a lot of the game), yet found a way to win. :singing:

If I was the chargers, I'd be worried.

True; you guys own us in the playoffs. However, we would have won the 2006 game if it were not for all the dumb mistakes some of our players made which cost us the game. You know yourself that your team had no business winning that game; we mopped the floor with you for 3 quarters and ended up choking it away at the end. However, this was due to our inexperience in the playoffs; our guys couldn't handle the pressure.

Then, a year later we met you guys in the AFC championship game and almost beat you, and I believe we would have beaten you had Philip Rivers not had a torn ACL, and Tomlinson and Gates were injured as well, and those two guys were 80% of our redzone offense in the regular season, which is why we didn't score a single touchdown in that game even though we got to the redzone 5 times.

The 2007 Patriots were a much stronger team than this years Patriots and we almost beat them in the AFC Championship game, so you can imagine what a much stronger Chargers team will do to a weaker Patriots team at home if we end up meeting this season. I think it'll look something like last seasons regular season game where we demolished your team. I understand you had Cassell then, but let's be honest, our offense can't be stopped, whereas your offense has been inconsistent.

Well, out of the 5 times we went into your redzone and came away with fieldgoals, you don't think at least two of those could have been touchdowns had Tomlinson and Gates been healthy and playing?

I was at that game. The Patriots shut it down and played slow ball. You're misrepresenting the game. At no time did they feel threatened. It was zero degrees out there, and both teams were slogging their way through it. If you remember, Brady damaged his foot during that game.

Please list all the Patriots starters who were out or hurt?

You can’t can you.

And Rivers had a torn ACL; which is worse? I'm not saying that we would have beaten you that day with our injuries; but what I'm saying is if Rivers, Gates, and Tomlinson were healthy, we would have beaten you.

I was talking about the AFC game the year you went 18-1, in the 2008 AFC Championship game. I do remember seeing Junior Seau play in that game; in fact he prevented a touchdown by Michael Turner.

That was the 2007 season, We had 11 players on IR by that game. God knows how many hurt but playing.

Like I said, the Patriots played slow ball. They had the game in hand and just pounded the ball. Seriously, go back and look at the play by play. Maroney ran the ball 15 times for 100 yards in the second half.

The Patriots were sitting on their lead. They were simply not opening up the game plan. It was that kind o game.
