I'm not starting this thread trying to say that wins over Carolina/Jacksonville/Buffalo should make us all believe we're the team to beat or anything like that. I just want to see what people truly feel right now about our team. In 2007 we were a juggernaut at this point, aside from that I personally think this is the most confident I've felt heading into playoffs since '04.

Brady looks like he's not bothered by the ribs/finger anymore if he was earlier. Healthwise we're in awesome shape assuming Wilfork will be ready in 2 weeks. Most importantly the 5 guys most of us seem to want starting on the OL are back. Fred Taylor is back giving us 3 RB's that I am confident in for January. We just had a 12+ minute drive!! When was the last time we had a drive that long?? The '07 AFCC we had an 11 minute drive I think. But that has me psyched for the playoffs, the current backfield may be on par with the '04 Dillon one man show. Taylor historically has owned the Colts. IMO this time we would not blow a double digit lead against Indy if it came to it and hopefully we avoid getting one-dimensional in 2nd halves like in all our losses. Finally having a healthy OL and Taylor will help us there.

At the same time though, can we trust this team to beat 4 good teams in a row? And likely 3 elite teams in a row? 2 of them most likely road games? This is where I get brought back down to reality a bit but I'll ride with BB and TFB any day. I think we have a serious shot at going all the way. Where is your confidence right now?

I feel pretty good and I definitely had some doubts

I wish we could have done this to a a really good team that I was worried about playing but I'll take it.

Big time confidence. They needed a dominating win and they got one. Inthe playoffs, they need to string some wins together ...on the road.

They can do it.

Same as it's been. Brady is the key. If Brady = Brady, this team can win it all as long as the other team isn't able to run the ball down the throats of the defense.

I have faith in the team that represents Mr. Hyde and not Dr. Jekyl. Problem is...which one will show up come playoff time and put together 4 solid quarters against a good team. As of now, I have confidence. Hopefully, they can go to Houston and soundly beat them by locking up the #3 seed.

If Brady is the Brady as we know him, we win the Super Bowl.

I'll be back to answer this question around this time next week. But I do feel pretty good about the win.

Let's put it this way, if you are Indy or SD and you see #12, #81 and #83 trot onto your home field for a game in January, how comfortable do you think they are going to be ?

With Taylor and Sammy, we are going to be able to sustain long drives and play action everyone into oblivion.

I like our chances............

my confidence is still exactly where it was before this game. I think we are a team with potential. We locked up the afc and can now afford to rest people next week. I don't think we are favourites by any means but i think we will definately be in every game we play.

Am I evaluating by the game or by the quarter?

Perhaps the best barometer is how many people Randy Moss is giving a high five on the bench.

I think they'll be very comfortable doubling Welker and Moss and letting the rest of the options beating them. The only difference there is if Brady is afforded enough time by the O-Line to find the third and fourth options. Now that the O-Line is about healthy, Brady should be given more time to make those decisions.

You are absolutely correct. The OLine holds the key to our playoff run and with Neal back and Sea Bass anchoring our right side, the pieces are all in place right now.

Neal started, but I saw Connolly in at guard as well. Anyone know anything about this?

they need to remain committed to the run and then will make the passing game and playaction all the more formidable

I too like our chances and agree about the Bolts having jitters with us but wonder why Indy must be afraid of us considering that they have beaten us for the last five games irrespective of the venue.

Nice point. We have had much discussion over who's to blame for our 2nd half woes on offense. Lots of blame thrown around between Brady/OL/O'brien/Lack of 3WR. With the OL and Edelman(who is probably our 3rd best WR this year) also finally healthy we're seeing a big difference, although J-ville isn't exactly a great defense to see where you stack up. But it's also good to see the TE's getting involved in the passing game as well. Regardless of whether we have Jabar Gaffney or not, when defenses have to honor Moss and Welker, somebody will be open in due time. And Brady is Brady, if he were ever more of the problem, do we have any reason not to trust him come playoff time? Now that everyone's finally healthy I'm hoping we see the main underlying causes of the offensive problems fixed.

...Mine is the same as it was last week (cautiously optomistic) - establish some consistency on both sides of the ball going into the playoffs and see what happens from there. I do get the sense that Brady is starting to get his mojo back and feeling more and more like himself. That, and having a complete stable of healthy rb's doesn't hurt either. The kids on defense are playing better and better each week. It may have taken a bit longer than ordinary to start getting it together, but if the Cardinals showed all of us anything last year, it is possible to hit your groove/get hot at just the right time going into the playoffs - so we'll wait and see...

I was happy to see the TE's being used.

IF Light, Mankins, Koppen, Neal & Vollmer are healthy we are in good shape.

How healthy are Wilfolk, Warren & Pryor?

If we are healthy we can beat anyone.

We may not know for several weeks now.

I missed most of the game as my boy had a soccer tournament today.

The few plays I saw it seemed Brady's arm strength was back also ... but it was a small sample IMO.

What do they do about next week?

Do we play the starts and go for momentum heading into the playoffs or rest up?

I'm not worried about MY confidence, I'm worried about theirs. Need to ride this momentum, but is it worth it to risk injuries. Hmmmm.
