OT: Colts Fans in Full Meltdown Mode

This is perfect. The Colts will do the typical sit everyone next week, lose, and play rusty in the divisional.

Colts fans were saved from a potential mass suicide

They weren't/aren't going to win the Super bowl and being undefeated to that point would have made it that much harder to swallow

I still wake up thinking of SB 42 :(

I was there when Painter was put in ... I posted a few of those ... funny stuff. Their site was crashing left and right. Jet's were 4 and 4.5 point underdogs with the Colts up by 5 points ... this is FBI material.

I am calling the FBI tonight ... going to tell them I lost my girlfriend now because I lost my shirt on this game ... even my dog ran up the street to the neighbors.

So Bill Polian bet the Jets eh ... :confused2:

The best part is that NOW there is no chance the starters play a lot next week. Had they somehow won this game with Painter, I think they would have gone for it next week. Now we just need to get the #4 seed so that we can face a rusty Colts team. This is great!

the best part is the Jets will think they're good when in reality they were handed a game and they still didn't look great

This should settle the "team of the decade" debate. a 19-0 season for them could have put them up there, but not anymore!

And I thought Christmas was over!!!!

Thank you, Santa Claus!

Well, the next time a Colts fan pulls out the "18-1" card, Patriots fans can respond with something along the lines of "At least the Patriots had the balls to try for 19"....

They're 14-1 right not 1-14?

This is sooooo true. What the Colts did truly was gutless. I don't care what anybody thinks or how they try to rationalize it. 100% gutless.

The Colts were not in control of this game before they pulled Manning out. I think they wanted to save him by pulling him out rather than lose when they were trying to win.

I don't blame the Cot fans.....

Will Polian ever learn?

They rest players every year and blow it in the playoffs.

When they won the superbowl in 2006 they were a wild card team.
They did not have a bye and they had no rust.

When you depend on a precision passing game, you cannot afford
rust.

Forget Colts fans, I wonder what this will do to the Colts' players. Manning clearly was not happy that he was pulled. I am sure that other players are not happy Caldwell took away their chance to go for history.

I don't hold with the 'gutless' theory, but it's a great broadside in the smack wars.

Meltdown Mode indeed !

Ya want to know whats sad? We have been die hard Colts fans for years and they do this stupid sh t. My son sood up after the game took off his Colts shirt and Hat (you know the stuff that pays their wages) and said he'd never put them back on and I think I agree it's not that we had a chance for a perfect year and lost a game it's we gave it to them almost like they paid them off so the jets had a chance a the playoffs. I don't know but I would of preferred to lose the superbowl than to just not try in a game. Great role model for kids we only try on the important games we don't give 100 percent all the time just sometimes.I don't know just blowin some steam off but as a fan I think I'm done as a fan at least a losing team is out there trying

A Pis_ed off fan

Indeed, and it probably cost them their season. We can only hope. Either way, "Hey Dumbasses" is probably my favorite thread of that bunch.

"Caldwell is smarter thn all u combined."
"That doesn't change the fact that he's a ***** and that was a bad move."
"Yeah well u guys are homos."

I really hate to say this but what the Colts did today was worse than the Pats going 18-1. At least the Pats went for history...they went down taking their best shot. They played all the way through to the end. What did the Colts do? They eschewed the chance to make history altogether. They coped out. They laid down. The Pats know they just weren't good enough for perfection. Colts fans will never know now if these Colts were or not.

Condolences from a Pats fan

When Colts fans argue Colts fans... Brain Cells DIE!

This has kind-of healed Superbowl 42 by 2%. Now, when other fans of teams annoy me about it, I can say the pats had the balls to go for it.
