The Colts pulling their starters and not going for the perfect season settles the debate of team of the decade. Which is better the Colts 115 regular season wins to the Pats 111 regular season wins or the 3-1 Super Bowl difference. Obviously the Colts think the Super Bowl win is more important than regular season wins. Hence the Pats are the team of the decade. Slam dunk.

How is their a debate?

The idea is to win a superbowl, the Pats have 3 and have played in 4 to their 1 win/appearance

What else is their to discuss?

It is an insult to our Franchise calling team of the decade a debate,

That is all.

but some might of argued, incorrectly IMO, that most regular seasons wins, most 12+ season, 2 sbs, and one 19-0 might be more that what the pats did. i would still argue that 3>2 simply becuase the best the colts could of done was gone 19-0, beaten us tying the head to head playoff record, and a few more reg wins, but for me that extra SB trumps a few more reg season wins . . . i think most would say that a SB ring is worth more than a extra reg season wins . . . beside we have them with more overall wins inclding playoffs . . .

I'm not exactly sure how winning an average of less than a half a regular season game more per year can be considered better than winning two more NFL championships and three more conference championships, no matter how you spin it.

yes, as someone who said out here that the topic would reasonably have to be revisited if the Colts went 19--0, I believe that the discussion is now over.

even if the Colts win another SB this year, it will be the Pats vs the Colts and Steelers arguing over who is number two.

in the unlikely event that the steelers win a third, then we'd have to deal with all of that. but i doubt it will happen.

No such debate exists

That is such a joke. I would put the Steelers before the Colts.

The Colts are as much as team of the decade as the Buccannears, Giants, and Ravens.

anything that attacks the Patriots is a cheap headline for some idiot whose drivel would otherwise go unnoticed.

"Embrace the hate."
