T Nick Kaczur (shoulder) questionable
G Stephen Neal (ankle) questionable
RB Fred Taylor (ankle) questionable
DE Ty Warren (ankle) questionable
DL Vince Wilfork (foot) questionable

DE Jarvis Green (knee) probable
WR Sam Aiken (shoulder) probable
LB Tully Banta-Cain (shoulder) probable
QB Tom Brady (right shoulder/right finger/rib) probable
WR Julian Edelman (forearm) probable
CB Shawn Springs (knee) probable
TE Benjamin Watson (knee) probable

I have a feeling that we don't see Neal.

But most of the others on the report I expect to see.

I'll go with Neal, Green-Ellis, Brace/Adams, Seau/Alexander, Wheatley, Ohrnberger/LeVoir/Kaczur (can either Mark/Nick/Matt/Seabass go to Guard if injuries occur?) which is 6. Well, sort of when you remove the slashes. Leaving a surprise guy and Stanback who will be 3rd QB.

So, my 7 will be Neal, Green-Ellis, Adams, Alexander, Wheatley, Kaczur, McGowan. With Stanback as 3rd QB.

I go with McGowan as his Playing time has decreased and we're up against a run-first team and can probably use 3 safeties with Springs able to come in as a backup safety if needed.

Thoughts?

I usually do this...and have been a bit away today....
I think you are close.. Green-Ellis definitely so Taylor will return....so a RB will be one
I also think Stanback as well 3rd QB..although Edelman?? That could be also but one OR the other...2 linemen..Neal I think will be out and then..LeVoir..BUT ONLY if they could NOT have one of the others a swing to the inside...(The Carolina game both Neal and Ohrenberger were out..meaning that either LeVoir or Kaczur COULD HAVE moved inside if there was an injury...) so I say Neal and Kaczur/Ohrenberger as the 2 OL That leaves 4 more...Wheatley has been out..and I will say 2 DL..meaning Wilfork/Warren as the WORST possibility..and maybe Brace/Adams as the best...then teh wild card...Arrington/Seau/??? A surprise maybe...McGowan will play.

I had noticed it was missing and wondered if you'd just forgot.

I was going for extra Linemen on the basis of trying to shut-down Jones-Drew and Garrard's legs and making him throw into the coverage.

It's nice to have tough decisions though isn't it ;)

The inactives for the Carolina game were:
Stanback - 3rd QB
NEAL, KACZUR, Wilfrok, Warren, Pryor, Taylor and Wheatley.

My guess is the following:
Stanback - 3rd QB
BJGE, Wheatley, SPRINGS, Adams, Neal, Kaczur, Seau

With Butler, Bodden, Wilhite, Chung, McGowan, Sanders and Meriweather, the Pats should have plenty of people to cover the top receivers on the Jags AND keep Garrard in check. If the Pats really feel they need an extra DB, then they would dress Springs and bench Alexander.

Not sure HOW you got that information...but it is incorrect. PER the NFL Gamebook..Ohrenberger WAS inactive that game, Kaczur played Kaczur was injured on the 6th play of a Patriot drive in the 4th quarter....so he WAS active.

I think he meant Buffalo (since W&W were in for that game, too).

Got my games mixed up.. Forgot about the Buffalo game after the Carolina game.. Happens when I am sick.. Should have gone and looked at the game books .. My bad..

I don't think we'll see Neal or Kaczur until the playoffs. I'm all for letting Wilfork heal up as well. Springs and Seau may also be getting rest.

I think Seau gets enough rest already.... I mean.. he's not been anything but a glorified cheerleader...And he's definitely not as good looking..

Need Alexander and McGowen, Jax is very good on ST's. Forget McGowen's decrease PT on regular D and think about his contributions on ST's.

You're right, he may need a couple warmup games. I disagree on the latter though he is a handsome guy.

btw hope you feel better soon

Seau played a lot last week, especially after the first drive where they were getting it pounded down their throat. I think he will be active this game too, even if Wilford can't go.

Neal being active is great news, as long as he doesn't get hurt again. What's the deal with Butler??
