I realize that the answer will depend on what is deemed more favorable playoff match-ups but I would think that there are some games we have a consensus on.

Does it help when we root? :woot:

I'll root for the Indianapolis Colts to lose--but I don't know if the NYJ can score at all to keep up.

j-e-t-s jets jets jets

Jets, Texans, Broncos to win

Phins need to lose

Ravens and Steelers I don't care

I look at it more as knowing which games to derive schadenfreude*-based enjoyment from, allowing that the proper teams are getting their posteriors handed to them :D

*such a useful word, so glad I learned it!

I didn't say all that now.

But I will root for Indy to lose;)

yeah i sure hope indy loses, this is the last chance (albeit a half chance) for indy to lose a regular season game, I doubt bills will test them with or without their starters.

Texans to win, Colts to win, Denver to win. Don't care of the rest.

Jest, Chefs, Texans, don't care about Ratbirds - Squeelers, nor Donks - Eaglets

I do not really care about the Jets/Colts game. Colts win that knocks out the Jets totally. Jets win the Colts are not undefeated which will be fine but if the Pats meet them in the playoffs I kind of want the Colts to be undefeated.

Just for the Texans to win, in case we lose this game.

As far as the wild card teams/seedings go, I always found it best not to ask for anything, because we just might get it. I'll just let everything unfold and whoever we have to play, we play.

Why would you want the Colts to win?

BTW, look for there to be a PI call on either Sheppard or Strickland in the 2nd half that will turn the tide in favor of the Colts. Especially if the Colts are losing..

I'd like to see "not-the-Colts" win today. I can't bring myself to say I want the Je-- to win.

But then it would be nice for the Colts to arrive in Buffalo next week with snow and wind and lose to the Bills.

EDIT: Then I would like to see the Steelers get knocked out of the playoffs.

On the off-chance that Jacksonville wins today, the only other game that really matters is for Miami to lose.

Since the Pats have the Raiders' 2011 draft pick, I want them to not do well in 2010. To that end, I want them to have a 3rd place schedule rather than a 4th place schedule, so I want Oakland to win and KC to lose. And of course we want the teams the Pats have 2010 draft picks to lose (Titans and Jags.)

Tough to say who the Pats would want to play or avoid for the wildcard, but I'd say if Houston gets in that wouldn't be a bad thing. I wouldn't mind Pittsburgh and Baltimore beating each other up so badly they both lose the following week.

I am confident the Patriuots make the playoffs.

I want the Jets to win so that they get a playoff spot rather than the Steelers or some of the other teams.

Rooting for the Jets and the Broncos, as they provide the least resistance of all the potential first round matchups, IMHO. I'd rather see Miami get in over Houston, but since Miami losing provides another means of getting in, go Texans.

Houston needs a bazillion things to go right for them to get in, but none of them are terribly unrealistic (in fact, a win for them at Miami this week is probably the most difficult task they have). An interesting situation could be presented next week if Houston's pieces fall into place, as the Patriots might be resting their key cogs, which could allow Houston to get in and face the Pats in the opening round (if the Pats remain the 3).

I'd like to see the Bears take the wind out of Lord Favregaaaards sails.

Between Pitt and Balt, I don't have a preference as I'd like to see them both lose.

I'd like the Panthers to put the Giants out of the playoffs.

I would like the Jets to beat the Colts, but it's not going to happen. But it would be amazing if the Bills catch them next week in what is supposed to be a snowstorm when Peyton won't be playing.

I would love for the Colts to lose, I even put the Jest on one of my Pro-Line tickets, I couldn't pass up on the odds. Please be easy on me karma! :)
