OT: San Diego @ Tennessee

Rivers and San Diego are proving tonight why they are a elite team , and we should not be so anxious to face them. Tenn is proving what a fraud team they are as well...

Yep, lots of proving going on. Getting through the AFC could be a pyrrhic victory this year.

I still say if the Patriots face the Chargers, the Pats will beat them. I no longer trust games @ Indy though.

I'm not sure which would be more truthful: your avatar, or a ref in a Colts jersey. :p

The Tits of Young look flat tonight.

Good, at least the Pats know they can't be the # 2 Seed now and can rest half the team next week if the Pats can win on Sunday (since Week 17 will be fairly meaningless).

- Clinch the AFC East title on Sunday
- Rest Brady, Wilfork, Warren, and others in Week 17 and take the #4 Seed
- Win home game in the 1st Round (against Ravens?? - won't be a gimme but at least it's in NE.)

By then hopefully their offense is clicking and the team is healthy. If that is the case, I'd give them a 50/50 shot of upsetting the Colts.

Chargers are going to win the superbowl

they are crushing people

Impressive win. Chargers come out with the #2 seed and no season ending injuries caused the Titans.

Really? You don't think Indy or SD has a shot against NO or Minn?

I was hoping for a better showing from the Flaming Thumbtacks, but, alas, they collapsed in a biblical fashion. However, SD's 42 points weren't quite as impressive to watch as they sound. Tennessee seemed able to move the ball pretty easily on the Chargers, and as much as they scored, the victory belongs almost equally to the Titans. Tennessee did a great impression of Buffalo, giving up easy picks and fumbles and killing themselves with penalties.

Had the Titans had better discipline, eliminating most or all of those penalties, and not turned over the ball as they did, I believe it very likely that they could have beaten SD. When Tennessee didn't incur flags, they had some VERY solid drives against the Chargers, and proved that SD has problems stopping the run.

I hate that rule. If your arm is over when it throws the ball, you should be over.

What difference does it make as long as the rule is consistently applied?

because if the rule is to prevent you from throwing when over the LOS, your throwing arm should not be allowed to be over.

The rule is intended to prevent you from throwing a pass when your entire body is past the line of scrimmage.

You are allowed to catch a pass when your hands and the ball are both past the out of bounds bounds lines. Do you want to change that rule too?

I don't understand what the problem is. The rule is fair.

i think they want the rule changed because it hurt their chance at the #2 seed tonight

hell i still maintain the tuck rule play vs oakland was a great call, and i'm a chargers fan

i think some people just get bitter in the heat of the moment but they'll come around and realize that debating rules is kind of ******ed RIGHT AFTER A GAME

the only good thing for the titans this year is chris johnson who has 1872 yerds this year just 128 yerds from 2000 yerds and if payton manning, dose not go 16 johnson should win the mvp

nah CJ has had a good year, but if a qb who goes 8-8 and throws for 34 tds and 11 ints , leads the nfl in qb rating , yards per pass attempt and over 4k in yards can't win the mvp , then no 7-8 rb deserves it

give CJ OPOY at best

MVP goes to people with solid stats + good record

I think they do, but the AFC could have 3 rounds of very tough games in the playoffs this year depending on who gets the wild cards.

No-one has been able to stop Chris Johnson all year. Tennessee can run on anyone, if anything SDs weakness is against the pass.

Anything can happen but I'd say the Colts are most likely to advance to the SB and Chargers the #2 most likely to advance and they will both have byes.
