I say it is Denver because they seem to have Bradys number and Josh knows the Pats system.

Re: OT:What team do you fear the most in the first round?

Agree with Denver being able to beat the Pats and with Josh McD....also I fear the chargers in the event we play them. Lets hope they can knock out Indy and we play someone else....

Re: OT:What team do you fear the most in the first round?

At any point in time, the team I would fear the most would be the team that is playing the best at that moment. We saw that early this season with the Jets and the Broncos, and we saw that two years ago with the Giants.

In other words, the team I would least want to face right now is the team with an added revenge factor for motivation; the team the Pats defeated 59-0, the Titans.

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

I chose other because there was no option for all of the above. Seriously, with the way the Pats have been playing and barely getting by subpar opponents the past few weeks, I don't have a whole lot of confidence against any possible 1st round matchup. Heck, they need to get in the playoffs first.:(

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

the only team i fear is the pats. they have beaten themselves far to often this year. when they play a full 60 minutes and don't shoot themselves in the foot they can beat anybody.

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

Well as of right now, the Titans will be elimnated tonight.. So Im scared of the Dolphins.. I know people will say , the fish will freeze in Foxboro, but not these fish..

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

Donkeys, only because of Josh. He knows this team way too much...

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

What team would you not fear is more like it. Ravens maybe.

How about theh 2nd round? Colts? Chargers? Bengals? I think they'd make mincemeat out of us.

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

Chargers looked really good tonight they have got Indys number too, at this point they look like the AFC best team right now

either the Pats or the Chargers will pull off an upset at Indy, and that team will win the AFC

good point

although I think that even with this team firing on all cylinders there are several teams better. SD, Minn, NO off the top of my head.

The only teams I believe are definitively better than the Patriots right now are the Chargers and New Orleans. We can hang with the Colts, Bengals, Eagles, Vikings and Cardinals.

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

None of the above. The Pats need fear noone if they can execute on both sides of the ball. This team doesn't play up to its talent level at times. When TBC gets pressure on the QB you see the defense shine, when there's no pressure on the defense, the secondary gets eaten alive.

Objectively speaking, the Colts and the Chargers are the most dangerous teams to face in the playoffs because of their talent level and their QBs. But none of the Patriots' opponents should be 'feared'.

i do agree with you that the pats can beat any one if brady is on fire

but as far as the pass rush goes the pats only have 28 sacks and 10 of them vs the bills who have the worst O line in the NFL dont look for them to get to the QB vs any of the playoff teams

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

...Agree with all the previous posts, the only team the Pats really need to fear is themselves. If Bellichick can get some sort of consistency going on both sides of the ball, the Pats could hit the playoffs in stride (which is the real concern on my part). The reason not to fear any of the other teams in the playoffs comes down to the issue that coaching and game preparation has a greater impact during those games, and none of the remaining coaches (outside of maybe Denver/Josh McD) are intimidating in that regard. None of them have either had great success once they've gotten there (like Norv Turner), or are 'rookies' at that level (Jim Caldwell). Once the heat gets turned up, I just can't see those gents getting much further. I'd be more worried about the NFC once (if the Pats make it that far) we reach the Superbowl... (eg: Philly, GB or NO)....

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

I'd say the Steelers if Palomalu comes back. Otherwise it would have been the Titans but they are now eliminated. The first round is not really a worry for me since we'll be hosting. Its the next round that concerns me and I don't think we get by SD or Indy.

well, the chargers took care of that concern last night!

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

I worry that we give ourselves the "evil eye" when we start talking about whom we want to meet in the playoffs before we've even qualified. That said, here goes.

The team about which I feel the best among the likely Playoff group is the Colts. I know that sounds nuts, but I just think we'd get them next time and was one of the few wishing for the Number 4 seed so we could catch them coming off the bye and not having played for anything for a month.

I'm most worried about the Chargers, followed by the Broncos, especially in Denver. I see most folks are worried about the Steelers. And I guess they're right to take that position, given Ben's ability to give a couple of pretty good receivers a lot of time to get open against our questionable secondary.

Definitely wouldn't want the Ravens in Foxboro again, though we're a different team than the one that held on by its fingernails and was saved by Clayton's drop last time.

For the opening round, I fear the Steelers the most if they get in. Big Ben wasn't long for that slump he was in and, unless he gets hit in the head again, looks like he will be back to normal. That defense, with or without Polamalu, is pretty good as well. In the divisional round, it's the refs I fear in Indy. God knows if we go there, there will eventually be a phantom pass interference called somewhere. The Chargers are playing good football right now, but they don't really scare me for some reason. Could be the lack of a running game and an overrated defense.

Re: OT: What team do you fear the most in the first round?

I would say the Titans but after last night they are a long shot to make it. I think the Texans have a good shot at making it. If they win this week and the Pats win this week as I expect the Texans could be playing the Pats without Brady next week.
