So what do you guys think?

Wild Card round: Jville?Denver?Balt?

If wild card win then who:
Personally watching SD I just dont get it, LT is not is old self and never will be, they cant pressure the QB which is definately good for Brady and our offense. Rivers is throwing at a high level and you saw what Brees did to us he was spot on that day and we couldnt stop him.
Indy well not going to pick at an old scab we had them dead to right and choked.

Would love to hear some thoughts from the board.

Number 1 lets get in the playoffs by winning this weekend...

Number 2 , If we beat Jax , then Jax, is not going to the playoffs..

Number 3 I dont want to play Miami or Tenn... I think we could beat the Stillers...

Number 4 and final, Im hoping for the 4 th seed, because I want to play Indy in round 2 then go to San Diego..With that said, I will take Denver...

will if i had to pick one i say denver

cause ray rice was not as big a part of the ravens O when we played them last that and the ravens. are geting better and denver. is geting worst

IMHO..doesn't matter who we get in the wild card round...we'll win that round..we're bascially one and done. I really don't see us getting past indy or sd.

Miami at Foxborough in January sounds super to me for wild card. As for second round, Indy then San Dieo(assuming they advance) just for schedule purpose...

I'd love to play Miami, they aren't that good and shouldn't have beaten us two weeks ago. Short of that I really don't care but I'd rather avoid Pittsburgh.

why Indy in the divisional round? This team has a history of getting killed in Indy over the last 5 years but actually has a great playoff win @ a 14-2 Chargers team in 06 (the Reche Caldwell catch).

I think going to SD would be better and hope Indy loses in their game (highly unlikely I know). Furthermore, in the wildcard game, which will be at home, I am confident this team squeaks out a win against any #6 seed team.

To some extent it doesn't matter - we're going to have to play 4 tough games no matter what.

But my personal preference would've been to play Indy in the AFCDG, where I'd be pretty confident we could beat them and then head into SD with some confidence. Unfortunately, looks like it will be the other way around. SD is the tougher matchup for us.

Essentially, things are lining up for the same basic path we took in 2006. That SD game took a lot out of us, which is another reason I'd probably rather have the 4 seed & face SD in the AFCCG after knocking off Indy.

Whoever. First, let's win the division and make the playoffs. Second, let's try to get as health as possible. If those 2 things happen, I really don't care who we play.

How so?

2006 - it took a freakshow of horrible events to take us down
2007 - we won
2008 - took a David Thomas penalty & a Gaffney drop for us to lose
2009 - this one is fresh enough in the memory that I don't have to go into it...

It's been a tight game every time - in all 3 games we lost, we had our chances to win. Either the refereeing, surprisingly un-clutch offensive play, and ridicolously unclutch defensive play have conspired against us in the 4th quarter of these games. Sure, you could say history could repeat itself - but I know we can play with the Colts.

Playing SD in SD is brutal. We completely pulled that 2006 AFCDG out of our rears. I can't think of another game of late I was so certain were were done-for that we ended up pulling out. The whole game, I was in fear of their defense and their offense. If it weren't for Troy Brown's clutchness, and Reche Caldwell coming out of nowhere with a huge catch, we'd have been toast. Rivers torched us last year, and I honestly think Rivers is playing more consistent ball than Manning is right now, except the hype just isn't there b/c of the perfect season crap.

Yeah, good points - pretty much feeling the same way, though I will argue that SD is a tougher game than Indy, as I have above.

First off, let's get in the playoffs. Second, I would want to play Denver because it would actually mean something to end their season because after that the Pats will lose no matter who they play.

You don't want to play a team at home, that at home, we pummeled 56-0? Given, they're a better team then then, but it will likely be snowing in Gillete, i dont like their chances in the snow AGAIN. I'd say that's a best case scenario.

I forgot that people take things very literally around here. But I admit you have made your point.

Let me re-phrase:

I mean that as long as Dean Pees is around here and Indy plays in a Dome, I don't want anything to do with them.....until the AFCCG. And I am still bitter about eating a $400 plane ticket to Miami in Feb 07 that I bought at half time 2 weeks earlier.

We should make this a stickie.

What nonsense folks are posting. We don't get killed in Indy. We certainly didn't get killed in Indy the last time we played them. I do want to play Denver and Indy. We are a better team then we were and they are worse (Denver) or about the same (Indy).

You only quote reality not patsfans.com reality.

It would be better to go to Indy then SD. The recovery from the West Coast is tougher. Also, getting the Saturday game would be preferrable.

In 2006, we had the Sunday games. Goober got the Saturday games.

Anybody know how the games are determined because 4-5's were Saturday last year?

Hopefully the St. Louis Rams.

There's really only one team I don't want any part of. Tennessee. Not after beating them down 59-0. They're a completely different team right now and I can envision the rematch story going their way.

I love the Pats/Steelers rivalry. We didn't get them in the regular season so I'd love to see them in the playoffs.

I'd also love another shot at the Broncos. I'm tired of losing to those guys and would like to avenge our loss to them earlier.

As far as the 2nd round....Both Indy and San Diego are rivalries I enjoy. We'd be significant underdogs against either of them, which is always fun.

At this point, I think our biggest concern should really be ourselves. The defense is showing signs of improvement but the offense has completely disintegrated. Is it the playcalling? Are Brady and Moss a lot more injured than we know?

If we beat Jacksonville this week, I expect BB will rest Brady and many others against Houston. Therefore, I think we'll be looking at a 10-6 record and the 4th seed.

Den, Ind, SD, NO would make for a nice new DVD set

I don't care who we play first round, I think we easily beat any of them. Then I definitely want Indy first, as they'll be coming off a bye and a month of meaningless games. Then SD, who will be overconfident and yapping off going into the AFCCG. Then in the superbowl, I want revenge on NO.
