A few weeks ago, I posted that I thought parity was sort of over in the AFC with the same playoff teams year after year and this year's teams pretty well set. I indicated that the same teams were in the playoffs with maybe one or two other additions year after year: pats, colts, steelers, chargers, ravens and the broncos. I thought at the time that cinci was this year's intruder and that the rest of the spots were pretty well set.

Well, I still think that the six playoff spots will be among these teams.

The difference is that there are 12 AFC teams technically in the playoff hunt with two weeks to go, with only two teams guaranteed a playoff spot! Only the bills, the raiders, the chiefs and the bills are out in the afc. I guess that is definitely parity.

For comparison, there are only seven competing for six spots in the NFC, with giants on the outside looking in at the moment and looking to take a playoff spot from dallas or green bay.

I need the Gmen to stay on the outside, I have money on them not making the playoffs:D

As five teams are 7-7 and one game behind the AFC Wild Card leaders... they will all be focused on the state of Pennsylvania next week. The 8-6 Ravens are at the Steelers and the 8-6 Broncos are at the Eagles.

Keystone State is Key
AFC Wild Card Picture
Next Game
5. Ravens 8-6 at Steelers
6. Broncos 8-6 at Eagles
-----------------------
7. Jaguars 7-7 at Patriots
8. Dolphins 7-7 vs Texans
9. Jets 7-7 at Colts
10. Steelers 7-7 vs Ravens
11. Titans 7-7 vs Chargers
12. Texans 7-7 at Dolphins

They're so bad, they're out twice. :p

11 wins wasn't enough for the Pats last year....but 9 wins may be enough for a team or 2. Indy's perfect mark has knocked down much of the AFC...and the Saints have certainly had their effect on the AFC East.
