Anyone else surprised by this? I thought (and hoped) he was history.

Re: Adalius Thomas in Today

I was happy to see him on the field. So much for the pontificating pundits who vociferously trumpeted he'd never see the field again for the Pats. WRONG yet again.

The media has more access than us, they can't be wrong. They are around the team all the time, they know everything!

I bet you couldn't tell if you didn't read this ;)

Re: Adalius Thomas in Today

With both Wilfork and Warren out, we defnitely needed some veteran presence out there. Belichick is giving him more chances to redemm himself. Or maybe, by playing him, he is increasing his trade value.

Re: Adalius Thomas in Today

Unfortunately, I do think he gives us the best chance to win, and we have to pay him anyway, so he might as well play out the season.

Re: Adalius Thomas in Today

God, what does he need to do? Whip it out and take a leak on a Pats jersey?

He played today and I thought he played well. It seemed to me that he was flying around the field today. If a play was away from him, it seemed like he was busting his ass to get there from the backside. I agree that we need him and if we make a run in the playoffs he will have to play and play well.

No, I noticed. I noticed his number on the back of his jersey getting blown off the line of scrimmage a couple of times.

I don't think Belichicks a guy who'll cut his nose off to spite his face. It's clear the Pats needed bodies today so he was active in the best interests of trying to win todays game.

Wether he contributed a whole lot I don't know, British TV doesn't seem to like the Patriots this season.

I'm glad he played, and we needed him today.

I think BB's too mature to allow the kind of stuff that went on to interfere with anything that benefits the team. If AD puts in the work and comes ready to play, he'll play. If not, he'll sit. What happens after the season ends is another story.

I saw him once or twice....hovering over the play after someone else made a tackle.

Thomas is a talented professional, even if the mediots and posters are not.

With all due respect. That is just a ridiculous statement. If not for salary cap ramifications AD would have been cut already. Recall, his first healthy inactive this season was based completely on performance, or lack of it. When Pierre Woods and a guy called "Ninkovich" are starting over you, you cease to be a "talented professional."

I saw this too, actually. I haven't been pleased with his performance over the last couple of years, but he did make an effort today.

No to cuting him even if cap allowed it, since at least for depth purposes the guy needs to be here. Here's a clue, the season and the playoffs aren't over yet! Really they're not. Players can get injured. Its happened.

He's really good at that ... best on the team.
