He is the least of this team's problems.. He is taking this team on his back and playing injured... Broken Ribs, busted finger, sore shoulder and a rusty knee... Anybody that says he has regressed, needs a major wakeup call..

This Qb has heart, just because he is not lighting up the score board, like manning..

The major problem is the play calling, not Tom Brady

Yeah. It was definitely the play calling that underthrew those two passes to a wide open Moss, fresh off of beating double coverage. Gotcha. By the way, one of those was a sure touchdown and the other one was a probable touchdown.

Broken ribs??? when did that happen?

Other than the drive with 4 minutes left and we threw it twice despite Buffalo having only 1 tiemout, the playcalling was fair at worst today. Playcalling is still somewhat of an issue yes but it's also Brady.

Brady was flat out bad in the 2nd half. The only good drive he led, should have been a pick in our territory but Moss made an amazing play. I give him a pass since he is certainly banged up but let's not act like he hasn't been a factor in our 2nd half woes.

I do agree with you and believe we need a new OC but I have 2 issues.

1 Can't he audio the plays at the los and call more runs if he wants? Certainly I would think he can do that.

2 You have to admit, he has missed more open receivers this year then ever before. If he's hurting that's another story.

Not sure what you are saying here? Injuries should not effect Brady's ability to throw the long ball precisely?

The point of this is that Tom Brady is NOT an "issue" for the Patriots team. If anyone thinks he is, then they are just ignoring the rest of the team and looking for which star name they can blame.

The play calling has been terrible. But Brady has not played up to the very standards that he himself has set for himself. And he would likely be the first to agree with this. His deep ball was consistently under thrown today. His short game was not exactly crisp either. And worst of all, he is making some poor decisions that we are not accustomed to seeing from him.
Can any of what I've just written be disputed from his play in today's game?

No, Brady is not an issue but hes going to have to play consistently come January.

No question. The problem is assigning a weight to the causes of the effect. Injuries? Playcalling? Who knows...

Brady isn't playing too bad considering the unimaginative play calling and poor protection. But certainly, hes not playing at a level that can carry an entire team on his right arm.

Fans of this team bash Tom Brady?

Die

it has to be little of both. depends how much brady is audibling out of a called play. We have 3 RBs and it would intresting of for once the pats put the game on their hands for majority of the game and let them win it. If the injury is effecting his throws then maybe we need to just be patient with the short passing game and run the ball .Get the TE involved .in 2006 when brady only had graham and watson with caldwell and later gaffeney we called 2 TE screens in the ATL game.
JMcd knew how to use the resources effectively and brady had no moss or welker to throw to or get greedy about.
So its both in IMO.BB needs to figure this out now although its kinda late in the season.
Just hard to believe we put 34 pts against the colts and have regressed so bad since...

Weren't you one of the (many, many, many, many) people that have been using Brady's expression ad nauseam? Oh, and that would be his stance that everyone at this point in the year is injured. Brady isn't making excuses for himself so I'm not sure why you are. By the way, that injury would inhibit Brady's ability to throw the long ball. If it was bad enough, Brady wouldn't be able to throw the long ball at all. As it turns out, he CAN throw the long ball but it is not accurate. Nor has it been steadily accurate at any point in the season.

They don't have a true 3rd reciever they didn't want to resign Stallworth 2 years ago I guess it wasn't the right value and McDaniel came in and stole Gaffney from them this year. I think this is a big part of their problems. Brady only looks for Moss and Welker so maybe O'Brien isn't a great OC but this IMO goes back to personell decisions as well as the thrifty owners who won't and will not pay players. I guess the idea is we can replace players once their contract expires even if they are All Pro level players like Asante. We can also trade one of the best DL in the league 3 days before the season starts for a pick 2 years from now, why because they think a new collective barganing agreement will be in place for rookie contracts and they won't have to pony up big salary bonus money. So to me everything is about money as a fan I don't want to hear how you spent to the cap blah blah blah GET SOME PASS RUSHERS AND ANOTHER RECIEVER.

I understand there may be some bad playcalling, but the QB still has to make these plays. It's not like the OC is calling plays that he's never practiced.

Seriously, enough with the excuses. No one is saying Tom Brady is a bad QB, they're just saying he's playing bad.

it looked fairly accurate when he hit Aiken in stride and he dropped it

it looked pretty accurate when it landed in Moss's lap and the Bills were called for PI

Brady did not look bad today. Sure it was no '07 performance but I have nothing to complain about from him

Boy, the sky sure falls alot here. It should be a fun week bashing Tom Brady, almost as good as last week was bashing Randy Moss.

Maybe next week we get on Kevin Faulk? Or maybe Wes Welker?

Umm No...

So it's all black and white. Either he can throw the long ball perfectly or he can't throw it at all? He can't fight through an injury to throw a good, but not perfect, long ball?

Let's not recreate history either, Brady underthrew Moss in 07 at times. Just because they don't use injury as an excuse does not mean it is not a factor. The fact that Brady will not use his injuries as an excuse has absolutely nothing to do with whether an injury is effecting his play.

I'm not saying Brady has nothing to work on, or that he isn't making any mistakes. But anyone who is worried about or wants to bash Brady this year is just... I don't know, I don't even have the words for it.

Brady, like everyone, has things to work on and continue to study and improve. However, this team's struggles have a lot more to do with other factors than his mistakes.

Well, that depends in part on whether the mods are so quick to get rid of threads criticizing Brady as they've been in the past ...

Brady's strengths and weaknesses evolve over the years. For example, while his game progressed in almost all other ways, he actually lost his touch on that little swing pass he used to feast on his first couple of years.

This year he seems to have regressed in decision-making and accuracy. I have little doubt he'll get them back, especially the decision-making. But for now it is what it is.

It should be a fun week bashing Tom Brady

I don't believe people are bashing Tom but more concerned. Is he the same player he was? and will he get back to that?
He has done too much for this team for me to ever bash him.
